Very strange, anyone seen this before? Wonder how it got pressed that way.
i would ask for different pics of the record before ever laying that kind of jack down on something on ebay. i smell fraud.
What's ridiculous is that I could buy three of the trilogy vinyls, piece out each record into a threesome, and magically I'd have three editions that 'came with the same exact record!!!' All for way under the ridiculous price of 750. :?

That seller is deluded.
I have very rare Melvins cellophane. Normally, it contains the Trilogy, but this (dare I say rare) piece of Melvins history is completely empty. Don't miss the chance to own the greatest, rarest thing ever. I'll let it go for $353.

Maybe the seller gathered lots of positive feedback over the years by being fair and honest but now he thinks that the moment has come to rip people off with a "rare triple swastika trilogy". I mean that's a pretty good plan, wait till your feedback is nearly perfect and then you can start to sell bullshit to innocent (and maybe naive) Melvinmaniacs that believe you're trustworthy.
I just don't believe it.

You might be right.
But oh well, I would never on earth have bought it for that price even if it was real.
The only way to be sure is to contact someone from Ipecac, they'll probably able to confirm it's authenticity.

price is much too high for this one but i think it's not a fake...
you know how a pict. disc will be produced? they are printing the pictures and press the vinyl at the picture.
so maybe someone in the pressing plant just made a joke and printed some double-sided swastika inlays and produced these weird version...
I don't know. The seller says that he got a confirmation from a fellow ebayer who claimed that it's a very rare intenational version of the trilogy with only about a dozen copies that have been produced.
Hmmm...why should I believe it? I want a confirmation from Ipecac, at least they should be aware of something like that.
It's probably legit, it's just that the seller is coming across as extremely rude. He's going to waste his listing fees on this auction. $1000 scratch that $1500 is unreasonable.
Yes, I like to buy my vinyl from angry sellers. :?

Let's just say that this seller replies with a lot of anger to questions about his record.
he just pieced out various copies from the warehouse and re-assembled them as the nazi suite trilogy,
the vinyl that each symbol was pressed on varied, the vinyl was prepared before music was applied
anyone with a brain bigger than a stegasaurus can see this

Hey big spender, while you're at it why don't you send some plane tickets my way and I'll be glad to join you in the front row. :)
yes!
this has been discussed before, i think. whoever gets the melvins to play at their house first will make extensive invitations and all board members that are able to fly out will be there and it will be the best concert in history.
Wow! I finally took a look at that listing and even in his description of the item he comes off as a total prick. I like how he made himself sound as if he is a hardcore Melvins fan by saying he's seen them everytime they've been in town since '97...Well, if you are that big of a fan then why would you rip off another Melvins fan by the tune of $2030.00? I've been seeing them everytime they've come to Michigan even longer than that, big deal. Does that mean I can throw my rare merch on ebay and sell it for twice as much as him now? I can see trying to make a few bucks, but that is just ridiculous.

Alright, i have to admit it. I'm a world class athlete who does brain surgery for kicks in my spare time. I bought it.
(to make it clear, i didn't really buy it. no shit)
hey mop, don't suppose I could borrow a few bucks, could I? theres some sweet MELVINS crap I NEED on ebay. :D
Don't be fooled Glen, Australian money is worthless in America. Who the fuck takes a coin with an egg laying duck-beaver printed on the face?
( :P)
Of course you can Glen
And actually Cowboy, experts are saying the Australian dollar will be equal in value to the US dollar by christmas time. Then it'll crash next year again, but that's not the point :P
Yeah fuck man, I was just thinking this is the best time to buy heaps of shit from the U.S., now that the green is so low.
think about it, you buy a CD from JB Hi Fi or Missing Link these days and it costs like AUD$28, which today is like $25 US. Will be cheaper to get heaps of CDs from the greatest country in North America (not including Canadia) and pay for postage.
And I'm not really sure about the Aussie Dollar crashing next year. Really depends (amongst 1001 other reasons) how the U.S. deals with the "mortgage crisis" and when it will start affecting the rest of the world, whether they are gonna go on another war to "free" some other poor cunts, and of course if Labour wins here (But I think Howard will win). I sure hope the AUD keeps strong though, planning to save some money for a surf trip soon...
The US isn't getting weaker, China is getting stronger.

Yeah, i've been doing quite a lot of online shopping at the moment for that reason.
If Howard wins then it just proves my theory of election rigging. I don't understand how i don't know one person that likes him but he still keeps getting voted in.
As the topic creator, i would just like to make it clear that it wasn't me who bought it :P

That's because they all SAY they are voting greens and labour and are actually voting for Howard and Pauline Hanson :D

 Bastards!
today i have checked the feedback the buyer has given to the seller for the weird trilogy version:
"Excellent Ebayer!!! Super fast shipping. Great communication.. 5 star seller."
... maybe this really exists..?
I've believed it exsists from the beginning. You can never guess what the Melvins will do.
How much did it go for? You're a collector Crybaby, if you knew for a fact it was genuine, how high would you bid?

I believe it went for $1ooo or something. I wouldn't pay that much, even if it was real.
$1000 is ridiculous. When you start getting close to what a paid live gig of the melvins would cost, I say have the melvins play.
From what I see, there's four or five serious/hardcore melvins collectors; a few up north, some in England, one in Japan.

I'm just a normal melvins fan.
A 'normal Melvins fan', or a 'normal' Melvins fan?

normal - melvins fan.
that goes together like peanut butter and tuna fish.
    :P
Very weird, never seen it before.
peanut butter and tuna is GOOD!!
Toast whole wheat bread, apply smooth peanut butter,
wait til melted, add a generous dollop of tuna with mayo
and relish, DEE - LISH!!!!!!

there are (just) some things a little bid more important than the melvins in life...
as insanely obsessed as I am about MELVINS, I'll applaud this statement for its validity.
Alcohol, weed, chocolate, sex, cigarettes, alcohol, weed, doom, beer, noise, feedback, snakes, ants, ugly people, water, toilet paper, coffee, peanut butter, hash, butter, oxygen, exercise... and I could make this list even longer if I wanted to.

I'll take the Melvins over all of those things :)
hey, i'm not an expert, but this reminds me of some past normal vinyl purchases i've made where i was surprised to find duplicate copies of the same exact record in the sleeve. i once bought the jesus lizard 3x7" - brand new, sealed copy... and it had two identical copies of one of the 7's instead of three different ones as it was supposed to. this was obviously not a deliberate "rare" pressing, but a mistake in the factory when they're stuffing records into sleeves. it's happened to me on one other occasion, so i don't think it is even a rare occurence to get dupes in a new record sleeve. now, by this ebay seller's own admission, he has not even listened to the records, so if he had, i would bet that he'd hear three of the same record. at least i would assume this is the case. even if it was deliberate, like, "we made too many swastika picture discs so let's put all three on those" i don't see what the big deal is. if anything, it's crappier than having the normal 3xLP set. :)
that's just my theory
Ah, good point! I wonder if they are three of the same album.
