Title: A Question to those of you who already have the book . . .
Post by: Mount Ambulance on March 08, 2004, 05:09:06 PM
Hey all whats' it shakin' . . . I have a couple questions for anyone who already has the book from one of the shows . . . How big is it? Not how many pages but what are its coffee table worthy dimensions?? Any other info?? What exactly is in it . . . What art?? How much of it?? Any writing?? If so how much?? About what?? How much is directly Melvins related, how much is more artistic and less obviously related in say a hit parader sense . . . it sounds great from what I've heard so far . . . the reason I ask is I want the hard cover . . . but at that price translated to my canadian monoply money it is gonna be real expensive for a book . . . the paperbacks' listing for alot cheaper . . . but if its really worth it, then fuck the torpedos I want it . . .  . . . articles, pics, an shit are ok but art and more wierdout kinda shit whould be best. I just wanted to know what was in it exactly to make a more educated decision . . . so can anyone help a brother out??

I thought I saw on this board somewhere in the recent past that the softcover list price in Canada was $25 Canadian?? I donno if thats true or not . . . guy at the record store I go to said it will either be in tommorrow or fridays shipment . . . The $65 U.S. Ipacac is asking translates to like $85 Canadian plus shipping

The book is fucken killer. You could look at it everyday for two years and see something new each time.

$60 at the show. signed by the band, c/d in the back.

There is artwork, pictures and written text.

I am still in pain from the show last night.

I ate at IHOP and left the copy of my book there! I went back right away and got it.

Fuck, I don't know how many pages but it has an index in the back that is about 4 pages. If $60 is too much get the soft cover my friend, it is well worth it. There is pages of the band. Buzz is dressed up as Paul Stanely of Kiss. That is worth $20 bucks alone. Add in a greatest hits cd and you are golden. But I am already getting drunk for the Olympia show, you can't always trust the Reaper.

I just picked up the soft cover. Im sure the hardcover would be plenty cool, but its still the same thing. it cost me 25 bucks.

I mean, i wasn't expecting much, but the melvins have topped themselves again.

reason i bought this from the site was that it was not listed by bn and amazon.

just got mine today, i fuckin LOVE this thing.  i was mainly psyched for the book, as i have most of the music already.  tons of awesome pictures, stories, etc etc..     i paid $25 for the softcover, cause i'm too poor to afford $65 for the hardcover (that and i didnt want to wait).

well worth the cash.

I've had the soft cover since it came out but today a buddy of mine gave me his hard cover version.  Not in mint condition but it's still in very good condition.  I have a few fancy beers that I will be giving him out of my cellar.  Are all of the hard cover versions signed?

This book was done right. Modestly priced, signed, widely available(at the time). Too bad about the new book.
