Those who are attentive will note this wasn't the first time a Melvins album was album of the day, they also had Buzz's solo album once.
since wikipedia evolved (at least to my surfing hotspots) I no longer use AMG as a reference point for music, and their site always seemed to run shifty and slow for me after that big reformat they did.
Last.fm is a nice comprehensive database as well.
