and you could only pick one song from their entire collection, which one would it be?
I flipped a coin for either Honey Bucket or Oven.
Honey Bucket it is.
8)
POTRE
Eh, not enough guitar play for that song. But hey, if thats your choice for this little rhetorical game, so be it!
Hey man.... its my dream game. Early earth, Sunn, boris slow stuff, khanate.... Id play that game.
That would be a cool dream game: Sludge Band.
The Brain Center At Whipples
That would be cool to play.
In the Freaktose the Bugs are Dying
including the 25 min of silence.
HAG ME.
On a related note.. I just remembered that Guitar Hero already featured a pretty great slow 'n' heavy song:
Megasus - Red Lottery (http://www.sendspace.com/file/99luxi)
If they used one I would see The Kicking Machine.
But I think Dog Island would be fun.
Theresa Screams
Pure Digital Silence.
This is my response to any question that asks "What Melvins song would you _____ if ______?"
oh god....imagine if they had their own game, like aerosmith, or the metallica one coming out
What would be wrong with that? I think that would be awesome.
Rock Band - Melvins Edition
Thats got a great ring to it.

That's an awesome song, but playing it in Guitar Hero was boring as hell. Damn, I'm a nerd.
Melvins Rock band with double drum kit....that'd be fun in a nutzo sense.
I think suitable songs for a MElvins GUITAR Hero?
- Boris
- Eye Flys
- Zodiac
- The Bit
- Bar-X-The-Rocking-M
- Hog Leg
- The Bloated Pope
- The Talking Horse
- Colossus of Destiny for a "mental challenge"
I think Guitar Hero needs more 15-50 minute songs, just to fuck with the ADD children's patience.

Brian gibson, bassist for Lightning bolt, drums for them. I think its one of my most anticipated releases.
Rock Band 2 has some unexpected tracks on it, like Painkiller by Judas Priest but some of the bands are lame and I have never heard of some of them. Bang Camaro? Anarchy Club? Meh...
Tipping The Lion or Dr. Geek would be fitting.
for bass hero - night goat.

You can play bass in the new Guitar Hero.
Did y'all know there's a hack where you add your own songs to Guitar Hero? It's very complicated and time consuming though, my brother-in-law was kinda obsessed with it for awhile. He just added songs that other people had done that he downloaded. I thought about doing some Melvins tracks, but I ain't got the patience for it.
Boris so the kiddies cry about playin the same notes over and over for 8 plus minutes
That would be funny. It would make it funnier if you went about increasing the difficulty setting higher, the song would get slower and longer until it reached its normal speed and song length. Make the ADD kids think Boris is a fast. short song and then get surprised when they get cocky and go for the HARD and EXPERT settings.

Yeah but that song kinda sucks. At least to play it it does.
For me, I think it's a toss between It's Shoved and Copache. I know both are relatively short and fast, not very Melvins-esque in nature, but they'd be perfect if they're nearly as fun to play as they are to listen to. Plus, I think those two songs are the quintessential Melvins "starter" songs; anytime I want to pop someone's Melvins-cherry, I play them It's Shoved and Copache.
Maybe, with those two songs, we could convert the unwashed masses of Rock Band/Guitar Hero consumers and begin the Melvins plan for New World Order!
The Melvins are mentioned in Rock Band but only in passing as the band Kurt Cobain auditioned for.

He wasn't in the band when they recorded Red Lottery. But he plays on the new song that's in Rock Band, and he tears that shit up.
i'd say for guitar hero purposes, you'd have to include Revolve
the Bit would be a good one.
A two player drum battle, with some of the tracks off (a)SA or NWB would be epic.

Hey, that's me on the last post...I must admit I have posted a message or two on the rock band forums about the Melvins as well as other missing/great bands.
Damn, I'm a nerd.
No you are not a nerd. I recently got into the whole Rock Band thing. Honestly I think it is the best all around family game in recent times. I have a teenage son and a daughter who is about to be a teenager. My wife, myself and the kids all like Rock Band 1 and 2 alot.

i like how i didnt see there was more than one page at first and was thinking the last one on page 1 was your post. I was thinking... really?:
The rock band forums are funny. I do my damndest not to hijack other threads asking for more Paramore or Linkin Park.
Instead I just focus on trying to bump the underrated or lesser known bands.
And you are right Rock band is a really fun family game which can get lots of folks (and kids) interested in music they never would have heard before. Plus as silly as it sounds it does teach you a lot about rhythm and timing (you should have seen me try to play drums for the first time).

Nothing beats hearing your 50 year old Mom try and sing DevilDriver's Clouds Over California.
charmicarmicat
Their version of youth of america would be brilliant as well.
Fantomas should get a song on the game as well
lol, fantomas can barely play fantomas! maybe with the box you get a mike patton clone to signal the changes?
They should do like Tool did with guitar hero or whatever and let Mackie work with the game designers for the art during the tunes and shit.

A little mike patton in the corner small body massive head the nods at you/points/screams and you have to change would be great.

That would be amazing. plus you probably wouldn't just get a normal guitar it would be something different. Like to play the hooch you have to wear a helmet full of water and get through it all with out breathing. I rekon i could do it.
Good songs for Rock Band:
A History of Bad Men
Eye Flys
Sweet Willy Rollbar
Buck Owens
Honey Bucket
Suicide in Progress, or to mess with the unexpecting audience, It Tastes better Than the Truth
At The Stake!
