Haven't listened yet but sounds like some interesting ground is covered.

Wow, I never thought I'd hear Buzz discuss the TPP and the minimum wage and being from Jewish heritage

One last question.
Jamey Jasta?
Actually, a pretty sincere dude. I don't know if I've ever heard a minute of Hatebreed (had to Google him), but not too horrible.

Interview:
You guys can bag on his politics all you want. You have 99% of non country musicians agreeing with you, so welcome to my world, bitch! I think you can actually thank his ideology for a large part of what gets shit done in Melvins Land. :P

I don't so much disagree with his politics but rather the few times I've heard him talk about economics.  And it really doesn't change the way I think about him or his music.  Buzz rules and so does his work ethic!

I was thinking of the other guy. This morning. I see politics and economics as being very connected these days. Maybe that's just me.

Nah you are right they certainly are connected, but not exclusive.  The whole socially\economically liberal\conservative dichotomy.

Plus we often confuse Democracy as being synonymous with Capitalism and Socialism as being synonymous with Autocratic governments when in fact they come in all flavors.

Buzz often doesn't talk about politics in interviews for exactly the reason he mentions. I mean, he is pretty libertarian and that isn't going to fly well with your average music fan.

I don't blame him, and like he has said on multiple occasions, no one should be looking to musicians for political advice.

In the interview, Buzz said they have 2 albums all recorded and ready to go. I wonder if these are the long awaited Mike Kunka collaboration and that 'All Basses Loaded' one which was mentioned on here recently. Im guessing only one of them will be out this year though being that we are in July already without a single word either way.

Pinkus statement on his fb group:

"They've got 3 new albums that kick ass and shows with some amazing players comin up.
I've heard em and I know y'all will be pleased and sometimes surprised. "

Gotta love how Jasta is trying to softball his own musical accomplishments into the conversation throughout.

But it was actually quite interesting to hear somebody call Buzz out on his rigid go-to interview routine for a change.
