I remember a video posted in this thread maybe by AxelFoley with the Melvins covering Walter's Lips with the original members. But it was from 1982 and they were called the Nurv back then. I can't find it on YouTube or in AxelFoley's posts. They were trashing old records. Stepping on jackets and tearing them up. I'd like to see it again. Maybe it got taken down. I'm going to try and look further into other sites. Hopefully someone here can repost it.

Doomed to Fail explores the heaviest music the world has ever heard, tracing doom, sludge, and post-metal as their own distinct (and incredibly loud) traditions. Anselmi covers the bands and musicians that have impacted those styles most―Black Sabbath, Candlemass, Melvins, Eyehategod, Godflesh, Neurosis, Saint Vitus, and many others―while diving into the cultural doom that has spawned such music, from the bombing of Birmingham and hurricane devastation of New Orleans to glaring economic inequality, industrial alienation, climate change, and widespread addiction. Along the way, Anselmi interweaves the musical experiences that have led him to proudly identify as one of the doomed.

"Drive back" the Neil Young cover from the Melvins/Mudhoney EP sounds like it would fit well on Pinkus Abortion Technician. Similar vibe.

The song title "The Receiver And The Empire State" reminds me of the NFL super bowl where the NY Giants receiver made that amazing catch with the ball against his helmet. Which ruined a bid for the New England Patriots perfect season.

Anyone know how the Melvins got Kat Bjelland to sing on "They All Must Be Slaughtered?"
