Melvins Discussion / Buzz interview on perth radio
August 27, 2014, 06:41:05 AM
Holy fuckin shit! Was driving my work van yesterday, listening to rtrfm and was shocked to hear that king buzzo was coming in for a chat and a song. I pulled over and sat there holding my phone over the speaker. I soon realized that I could of just streamed it. Anyhoo was the perfect way to get me excited for last night's concert, which was outstanding btw!!! People nearly jumped out their seats when buzz sang the opening line to boris for the opener  :D
Here's a link for that interview http://rtrfm.com.au/story/king-of-the-buzz/

No problemo. If there's anyone who was there, who remembers, should post a set list ( I didn't see any other green/ yellow snivlem shirts). Really was a good one. Decent turn out given I didn't know anyone in Perth would even know them.

Hey there been a while! I went to the fremantle show last Friday. Think it was the first show of the tour ( no helmet).
I was expecting a trio but we were given the full mel/biz lineup. I've only seen melvins once before which was a few yrs back at a festival, where they played a fairly short and upbeat set. This was nothing like my prior experience.
They played what felt like a pretty big set and covered a lot of ground. My memory doesn't serve me very well as I was sick as a dog and hopped up on antibiotics n beer but standouts in no particular order were hag me, youth of america, your blessened, let it all be and pretty much the first half of lysol to name a few. They also played quite a few of the newer ones from the mel/bb era and even a melvins lite song. Only a couple of songs I didn't recognize. Not sure if they were from sausage or cabrones as I don't own em yet.
All in all was a great gig given I was alone, had to drive 50 mins each way, crook n sweating profusely. I wasn't even moving wtf. Who cares got to see my fav band! Was well over an hour an half of intense noise. Buzz was in his usual regalia, Coady was in what looked like a collared soccer shirt. Dale stubby shorts n a grey nylon lookin batman singlet? and jarod button up shirt, scarf n pretty sure a Sikh headpiece lol.
They didn't stop playing the whole time. Every song pretty much led into the next and they didn't really give themselves a break til slowing down on let it all be. The drums never stopped once!! Also none of them uttered a word.. Buzz just up n left somewhere in the second last or last track ( I didn't see any bottles thrown) and never returned. Last time I saw em they finished by crooning some a capella song with their hands on their hearts, none of that this time. Dale looked totally ravaged on exit, frail like. Outstanding.
The end.

that last poolside chat was a complete trainwreck! worth the dl but the callers were total fuckin retards. i remember by the end of the segment neil couldnt even be bothered maintaining his accent and  was just tellin cunts on the phone to "fuck off".
someone from here should call in with some half decent questions
