Arrrgh slept on this and didn't get tix, site says they're now off sale... I was supposed to get a pair for me and a pal, now he's pissed. Anyone here ends up having a couple extras and can help out, please PM me with your price.

Everyone else, have fun, should be a wild show. Looking forward to the recap if I can't get in.

Don't have to be pissed to trash a drum kit, just ask Keith Moon

Well of course not!
He seemed more angry than doing it for fun to me though, but i suppose maybe it was for effect.

Melvins Album Discussion / Re: LYSOL
February 26, 2016, 07:48:13 PM
The stickered one is less rare than the repress with no Lysol?

A pal said he saw a Lysol LP today in a record store in LA going for $100 but he didn't notice whether it had the sticker or sharpie or not. I'm out of the record collecting game nowadays, I knew it was pricey but didn't know it could go for that much. Got me curious about how many exist... (not that I'd ever part with mine)

Anyone knows, tell us.

Anyone know which LP is rarer, the version with 'Lysol' written on the sleeve (stickered or not) or the later pressing where the word 'Lysol' is nowhere to be seen?
no idea, but based on the regularity you see them on ebay / discogs I would say:

rarest is the virgin lysol (never stickered, marked out),
then the repress where lysol does not appear anywhere,
then the stickered / sharpie version

it would be interesting to verify that somehow...

Thanks Butts. Will have to miss this go 'round anyway, looks like. Would have been nice to see the Big Biz boys back. Y'all have fun.

Assuming this tour is Big Melvins/sans Pinkus?

(...fantasizing, however, about 2 drumbers + 2 bassers, because why not...)

YEA

this was a great place to see 'em, and the set list was pretty killer.

kinda wish they'd have played on that stage out back though...

or preferably high atop one of the surrounding mountains.
(its all part of my rock and roll fantasy)

There are "Melvins Laws" on the books here that mandate they play often.

I'll be @ Costa Mesa as well.

Libertarianism is of the Right my friend. That Penn magician is clearly a right-winger and it's obvious he's a Libertarian. Anyone into laissez-faire economics, small government (hate welfare for the poor), anti-Unions, tax minimization/tax evasion etc is IMO morally bankrupt.

No its not. There's such a thing as "Left Libertarianism" -- distilling it down, it means the same as right-leaning libertarianism on some things, but the main difference is that it believes in restrictions on markets because left-libertarians feel that an unregulated market can actually do some of that harm and restriction of freedom that right-leaning libertarians believe won't be a problem. A left-libertarian agrees with his right-libertarian counterparts on matters of personal freedoms, such as abortion, drug use and generally agree not getting involved in stupid wars that have no bearing on national security. There are some on the "left" that identified with that aspect of the Ron Paul ideology, but are not for other aspects of it.

They definitely should be experienced live before writing them off, and, for home listening, as their albums say, Maximum Volume Yields Maximum Results.
