Digging thru old stuff. This is from the Olympian newspaper 1999

Melvins were in another issue of Big Brother magazine. The issue with Steve Olson kick flipping over a pile of burning bibles on the cover. The Big Brother writers went to the Melvins show in Olympia at Capitol theater circa 1995. The one where Melvins played a quiet set. I was there and some of the crowd were completely pissed off that they were playing quiet. Like, drunken irate people from Aberdeen screaming at the band to turn up the sound.  theres a picture of Jeff Tremaine onstage with his arm around Buzz. Funny show.

Yeah that's what I thought. 1984 Olympia. Dale told me Melvins played their first real show at the Tropicana . Not sure what band they're watching. Buzz mentioned he saw the Wipers there.

Did you get to see the 2010 reunion show?  I missed it.

Nope. It's awesome that Dale played drums for the reunion though. Andrew (one of the WP singers) told me they had wanted to do a reunion for a while but no one wanted to reprogram the drum machine.

I did see them in a basement in Olympia back in 1991.
