What's with the faces? Who are they supposed to be?

see?  there you go.    looking for an explanation.    you remind me of the lady who rings up my groceries.

*reads my shirt*
"happy...  halloween..  bitch?  whats that supposed to mean?"
*and looks at me disgusted like I have just personally just called her a bitch.

The best I ever had was coming through customs on the way back from Mexico. The dude goes "Melvins....   Eggnog" What is that some kind of Easter thing? I just grinned and said no, it's just a great album by a great band.
I've told this story, but I was in the checkout at Fred Meyers, and the girl at the checkstand saw my Houdini shirt and asked "What's our shirt suppose to mean"?

Of course I babbled, "It's a band shirt", and left it at that cuz she was really cute and I was a dork.

i wore my houdini shirt to my girlfriends house for thanksgiving last year, her uncle read the front and asked if my name was melvin?????? but he eventually saw the back and freaked out because it said pussy. the cat didnt seem to matter, and my girlfriend told me the whole family was pissed. turns out she just likes blow things out of proportion. her grandma read the back, laughed, and told her son ( my girlfriends uncle) that he was an idiot.

Double Door Chicago August 4th.

by my math that puts them in motown around the 2,3,5, or 6th.   still gives me two more weeks till baby time around here.
how pathetic is that? I'm panicked that I might have to miss MELVINS to catch my own youngin.     priorities.  #-o

houdini and ASA in my opinion.

the live version of houdini, a live history of gluttony and lust, is also great.

MP3 Lover,
This letter is to inform you that the Melvins shirt that you
have requested is either out of print or just not available to
people who say they love MP3's... Game Over... The shirt has
been sold and I am glad I did not take your offer of $20.00 in
quarters... Good luck next time!

and to further that

anyone who  uses "teh" does not deserve the shirt.

They didn't have a bass player at the time, Lorax had just been fired (hence she's still at the back cover?) and I believe I read something that they didn't want Atlantic to think the band was falling apart or something and they just though listing various people would just work out better. I believe it was Pat Fear from White Flag who played the solo on Goin' Blind. Cobain did some percussion on Spread Eagle Beagle I believe or maybe he just walked by the drum kit while being high and fell into Dale's drum kit - I wouldn't be able to tell you the difference. He was a junkie. Buzz hoped for some creative input from his side, but he was dealing with a junkie here.

We're a bunch of nerds, goddammit, and I'm loving every minute of it.

yeah, read somewhere in an interview with buzz that all he did was chill on the couch and sleep.
