Melvins Discussion / Re: MY KICK ASS EBAY FIND!!!!!!
« on: July 21, 2014, 11:01:37 AM »
Hey! I'm selling some Melvins (mostly Sugar Daddy splits) and other records on Discogs  for what I hope is less than the "normal" crazy high prices they go for. I'm not a flipper, but need some cash to put towards pressing records and had to reluctantly pull a few things off the shelf.

If any mods feel this is spam, or just petty in general, feel free to delete. Otherwise, thanks for looking!

(Also, I will ship outside the US. Just email me)

hey not sure is this is what your looking for (or exactly what your looking for)

I found these online a few years ago its supposed to be isolated samples of dales kit from various recordings.
anyway hope this helps.

I've always wondered about their rehearsal habits.

how often do they have practice when not on tour? daily? how many hours is practice? do they just write down a set and blow through it a couple of times? is it militarily structured or do they improve/jam/write together when the feeling hits?

and how has any of this changed with the addition of Jared & Coady? (even though it's been many years ago by now)

I grabbed one of the poster prints for the show, and the Walsby-Dale My War. still kicking myself I didnt grab the Buzzo My war Walsby did a few years ago when I saw it.

anyone know the deal for these (US) dates? I'm assuming its Lite + 4pc. but anyone know if Big Biz is playing their own set also? or if they're bringing another band to open?

So has it been made public if they will actually be put in the "book" yet or not? I emailed Guinness yesterday and asked, not expecting a response, they responded:

Dear Pat,

Thank you for your email.

Please can you confirm the Claims ID number so that I can check that the record is in our database.

Many thanks

Guinness World Records Ltd.

Melissa, sorry I didn't see your descriptive post until today. maybe next time!

GREAT GREAT SHOW last night!!! I love the set list for the tour. I'm glad I didn't see a copy of it prior, because they played a few I wasn't expecting. and there's nothing 'lite' about it. That bass THUMPS. the merch table seemed to be pretty well stocked except for B&B vinyl. and I understand the reasoning because of "flippers", but damn those merch prices!!! ouch! Excellent night. just sucks I had to drive straight back to Pittsburgh from WV, get about 3 hrs sleep and be up at 6am for work. oh well, at least I can't hear any of the annoying shit these idiots I work with are saying today due to the ringing.

driving to the West Virginia show tonight from Pittsburgh. I don't know you, but whats up Melissa!

Psycho-delic Haze is the best (studio recorded) song I've heard from them since (a)SA. can't wait to grab the vinyl, and see the "lite" show in WV.
