I’m guessing the tour vinyl edition of this didn’t make it beyond the first night? Haven’t seen any pics of it being sold at the Merch tables. I wonder how many were out aside for the tour

Ben Chasney does acoustic covers of three Melvins songs. Quite enjoyable.

I guess we'll see if both bands actually do their full albums as Boris seems to have omitted Rattlesnake in favor of Dronevil.

I feel that's a low-key trend with a lot of bands. Announce youre doing a full album...And not do the full album. Seen it with quite a few acts. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Weedeater, Max Cavalera, the list can go on.

Isn’t Dronevil on Heavy Rocks?

They are different.

Got a couple of the LPs , they look awesome.
The pictures don't do the 'wraps' justice.   :toke:

Agreed, these are super cool. The tracklisting on the back and the hand numbering is a nice touch.

Also having ‘a senile animal’ as a single lp is welcome, less getting up off the couch.

According to the Discogs entry for Bullhead, a new/different lacquer was used for this pressing than for the most recent presses on Boner Records.

Hoping that’s the case for a Senile Animal as well.

LPs have finally shipped!

I got shipping confirmation as well.

Apparently my copy is out for delivery today. I’ll let you know about any liner notes.

BMR is available to stream on Apple Music. Possibly others as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if the throbbing gristle makes it to Apple Music as well.

One last thing!!! Who's the bassist??? Is there a bassist or just Buzz, Dale and Void Manes???
The more I think about it, Steven probably isn’t on this. Toshi might be?
I've long thought there was no bassist at all on this. I mean we heard about this in 2014 so that's a bit before Steven. Then if this Heathen Earth track is the same that is one Everybody Loves Sausages then that makes the session recording even older than that! One other thing is the in studio photos that are posted. There is no bassist present. Only Buzz, Toshi and (presumably) Void Manes. Not even DALE!!! Could this be the very first Melvins album WITHOUT Dale!!!!?!?!?

Just noticed on the back of this it lists a number of songs that all appear on the new album - HEATHEN EARTH + HAMBURGER LADY + SUBHUMAN + HOT ON THE HEELS OF LOVE + ADRENALINE + DISCIPLINE + ZYKLON B ZOMBIE

That’s odd that those songs are listed but then don’t appear on the album. I wonder if they were originally planned to be on it but then didn’t get finished in time?

Anybody gotten a shipping notification? The site still says ‘shipping in June’ but it’s now mid June.

What was the price of these when they went on sale?

Interesting thing on the handwritten track titles: I wonder if  ‘clawed’ was supposed to be spelled that way versus how it came out on the release (‘Claude’).
