Ok, if you want to hear the other songs, go to https://music.cliggo.com/artist/Various/album/2990143-Gasatanka_Records_-_Teaching_Your_Bird_To_Talk

Sadly, the hovercraft song doesn't work. No idea why.

Fuckin' A right. =D>  Does anyone know what the hell Mr. Moss has been up to lately? Last anyone mentioned him around here he was still Patton's tour manager/spiritual guide. He's out of the loop now I reckon? Did he reside to family, common life?
afaik, he's doing well, was last seen at Kozik's funeral. Would love to see another Porn tour.

Quote from: GiveMe45 on December 26, 2024, 05:46:08 PMMy sister got me one of these for Christmas.  Didn't take long for the bootleg alarm to go off but I didn't have the heart to tell her.
It was a thoughtful gift, very nice.

Quote from: Dumpster D on November 20, 2024, 10:11:23 PMSome of the advice Buzz gives in that video about his pedals, that I can remember is that he didn't have anything 'boutique' at the time. It was mostly boss pedals, like the Digital Delay I think he had.

But that's irrelevant, they've probably used just about any known pedal on the planet on their albums, you name it.

My personal favourites that I can hear are like the effects the guitarist from 'Fudge Tunnel' Alex Newport used like that Melvins song 'Specimen' Have you ever heard of Fudge Tunnel? Awesome band. Newport has either production or Engineering cred on Stag.

I've heard effects like univibe, or Gristleizer, those are two secret weapons. SSHHSHSSH!!!

They put out some 'Hilbish' designed pedals for Buzz awhile ago, did you see those?

His reasoning was that, if the pedal broke down or was stolen it could be easily replaced at any local 'Monkey' guitar shop...and basically he's not married to any of his gear or anything.

He did talk a little about his 1970's Sunn Beta Leads a little bit, mostly that they tend to break down from time to time and need constant maintenance then, and he was thinking they might have to be 'retired' eventually because of how old they were getting...Jared Warren talks a little about his Sunn amps in one of the Big business interviews, along the lines of 'the tiredness of old components' and he kinda discusses that a little.

workhorse Amps that old are going to need a bit of service. Electrolitic capacitors sag after about 15 years, that may or be not be bad, depending on the sound you're looking for it all depends right?

Not sure when Buzz officially retired those amps from service, I wanna say somewhere likely in the mid-late 2000's? (But I could be wrong)... he's sold off a bunch of his guitars and cabs over the last 20 years.

I remember seeing his Hi-watt cab up for grabs a few years ago, I *thinnnnnk* maybe it had Greenbacks in it?

Same with the 'Melvan' but you couldn't even trust a '72 dodge by 1982.

gristlizer? where did you hear about that!
Check out Chris carters website, he has info on it. DD, does this schematic look familiar? http://we.tl/t-0Coio2A3vR

Quote from: WGB on February 12, 2020, 12:09:11 PMI took a nice photo of some of the gear I had the other day, the two orange cabs used to belong to Buzz for their Euro rig. As soon as he got endorsed by bareface and felt how light they were the back breakers were out the window.

I was gonna crop the other amps out, but it's nice to look at amps sometimes.

melvins gear fan here, can you tell me what speakers are in those cabs or at least the ohms and wattage? great grails right there!

What are you betting on?

My guess is Blown Celestions in parallel.

lol no idea. I found out all his hiwatt cabs had 16 ohm celestion g12s-50's
If possible, check with Buzz directly. Maybe someone that worked FOH? Maybe Tim moss would have a clue? Or at least know who to ask.

Daisley's website has an excellent account of him and Kerslake getting screwed over by the osbournes : https://bobdaisley.com/interview/website

Quote from: Bigval on October 04, 2024, 09:45:21 PMI've never bought the good cop/bad cop routine from Ozzy and Sharon, it's complete bullshit he's just as bad as she is for fucking over his musicians like Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake.
