From Hazelmyer's Facebook page:

"So this year is the Fortieth Anniversary (1983-2023) of the Melvins. We've got a bunch of really cool weird assed releases planned for the year in celebration, but this one might be my favorite as for me it's pretty much perfect. I swear. The Melvins first single DESTROYED when it came out. It was far meaner, more seething, structurally insane and pushed underground boundaries further than any of their Seattle peers of the era. I ain't arguing with anyone on this point as I was there at the time. I personally remember it as a game changer and it seriously altered how I was personally approaching music at the time. So I asked Buzz about doing a re-issue of that material as part of this years commemorative releases. He didn't skip a beat and said "Yeah, and we'll re-record that material too". Genius. So the 12" is the songs from the 80's and the flip-side is the same songs circa NOW. It's a perfect reflection of the then/now of the band. Glorious. For me there's times as an artist or musician when you KNOW you nailed it, and I gotta say I was pretty jazzed with art results hitting it square in the nuts for this, a high bar, as excited as I am about this release. It's kinda the perfect culmination of our working relationship that has spanned damn near the full 40 years these creeps have been at it. Yeah yeah it's rooted in nostalgia neither the band or I usually have a lot of time for,  but also showing the creative vitality us dinosaurs can still muster as we continue to indelicately stomp around.

Cheapie CD APR 9!
Silk Screened art vinyl mid to late APR
Factory Edition vinyl end of APR

So... any thoughts about it? I'm very glad they announced the forthcoming release of the Melvins TV Blu-ray along with the dolls (they're quite adobrable but I'm not going to pay for them), the "Zyklon B Zombie" tune was not very excting, to be honest, I thought it was meh... at least the last portion of the track was better. Also, what do you think about Steven's bass during most of the show? Buzz's guitar sounded great but the bass was barely audible, only the higher notes were more present in the mix.

February 17, 2011, 09:22:14 AM
hi guys, I'm thinking about playing the entire Bullhead CD in an  on-line radio show that I do, specially now since is the 20th anniversary, but there is one tiny little detail I don't know... does anybody know "when" was Bullhead released? at least the month.

Melvins Discussion / about Revulsion/We Reach
May 07, 2009, 01:37:42 AM
Well, after three weeks of waiting my order from CDUniverse arrived yesterday so now I can finally say I own Ozma plus Manchild 4/Pick Your Battles and Cactus' "One Way... Or Another".

My only doubt with Ozma is about these two songs, when does Revulsion end and We Reach starts?
I recognize the bass notes right before Buzz begins to sing thanks to some official/bootleg shows and obviously because of the lyrics in the booklet but I can't recognize the exact part where We Reach begins, it's suppose to be like that or not?

Melvins Discussion / About the re-edition of G.P.T.
February 22, 2009, 08:24:23 PM
Hi, well I have a doubt about the Ipecac edition of Gluey Porch Treatments since there are a lot of misspellings in the track listing, so when I was searching for more info on the web I found a picture of the back cover of the original vinyl edition and many of the tracks are written different than the Ipecac version, even some of the titles are not written like they appear in the discography section of themelvins.net ("As Was It" instead of "As It Was") so... is the discography section wrong or I just found a rare G.P.T. vinyl edition picture?

Melvins Discussion / Foaming/Arny H.A.T. single
April 21, 2006, 11:55:10 PM
Hi! so, after a couple of weeks I could finally listen to this 7 inch properly. In the very end of "Arny" there's what it seems to be the endless loop of a voice, and because my turntable is not automatic I kept listening to it over and over thinking "well, now is going to stop" but then I recalled the ending of another record (Sgt. Pepper's from The Beatles) where there's also an endless loop. So am I right and the Melvins are just playing with me or what?

Melvins Discussion / Melvins Music Videos
December 14, 2005, 09:09:38 AM
I read somewhere that Melvins only had 6 music videos (Honey Bucket, Hooch, Queen, Revolve, Bar-X-The Rocking M and Mombius Hibachi) but in Vcavallo's Melvins Goldmine website I found two more videos (Lizzy and With Teeth) so... there are even more music videos from Melvins around or are they 8 videos only?

Hi! so about two days ago I bought the Pigs Of The Roman Empire CD and the thing is I don't know what is the real title of track #9, because I could swear I saw many times before a picture on eBay from the back cover of the vinyl edition and track #9 was written as "??" but in themelvins.net it appears written as "Untitled + hidden track". I know this question is just too maniac obsessive but what the hell, I like it!! :D

There used to be a video from the House Of Blues in Las Vegas for downloading in the Audio & Video section of the Melvins.net site, I downloaded it a couple of years ago and after my "Melvins-rebirth-interest" I was watching it again, it's so good but I don't know most of the titles, I know the show begins with "Snake Appeal" and ends with "Youth Of America". In the middle there are songs like "The Bit", "Night Goat", "Second Coming", "Tipping The Lion" and "Let It All Be", but there's a lot of other songs completely unknown for me.

So if you know the entire setlist, please post it. That's all, thanks and goodbye.

About the 2 LP edition, I read in a store that this edition includes a bonus track not available in the CD version, is this true?

Melvins Discussion / Current bass player
September 26, 2005, 06:32:14 PM
Ok, so many of you here probably knows this but i couldn't find any new info about it, so who is the new bassist? I read that David Scott Stone is playing bass but I don't know if this is official.
