Melvins Album Discussion / Re: Tres Cabrones

Is there going to be a Newbery Comics release? They always do a signed booklet, and I'd like to complete the trifecta of current Melvins lineups autographs.

Who's doing posters for the Canada Excursion?

... The upcoming performances will feature the same set list in each city with the first night kicking off with the band performing songs from Lysol and Egg Nog followed by a second set of music from Houdini. The second night in each mini-residency will be Bullhead for the first set and Stoner Witch for the second. There will be no opening artists for this tour...
The Crocodile's web calendar says they are playing with "Special Guests" each night.  Usually that means an opening band, no?

If you'd stop instigating and being so negative, maybe she would stop reacting and we could get back to talking about MELVINS
Seconded!

Who played bass?
The Melvin's bass player.  That would be Jared Warren.  C'mon, by this point we should all know that Jared and Coady are permanent members of the band.

Info: Great show, Totimoshi opening (did not record). When I recorded Sleep last week I was able to find a sweet spot just in front of soundboard.
Sadly, I was unable to find such a location at this packed club. Hence the ridiculous conversations, which I made every effort to avoid by moving. Started in the center of the floor, about 30' back before moving toward right.
Seemed to be problem with right channel on recording, with volume fluctations. Unsure if microphone problem or if it wasn't plugged in all the way. I've had this mic for about 20 years, never had problem with it but maybe time to invest in a new one.
Sound would be great (A-) if not for that problem and occasional nearby conversations. Still listenable. My subjective rating : B/B-.
Melvins play the same set for the whole tour.

the poster for the seattle show at the croc is pretty sick...i don't have a scanner, anybody see this?
Is this it?

It doesn't look like the rest of Mike Budai's art, though.  swampviking might know more.

I've got to be honest, I wouldn't mind paying $5 for a digital download of that AmRep release, but I don't want to pay an additional $4.50 in shipping charges for a CD that I'm just going to burn into my computer and probably never take from it's case again.

Yeah, B'ham's great, though I'm not too hot on the Buff.  A bit too much of a jam band vibe, and their security really doesn't know how to handle a "metal" crowd.  They have learned to take down the paintings they don't want to have touched.  It's nice enough, but the really good venue in town is closed (their owner had problems with paying his taxes.)
