i think there's a ton of walsby-related cracks being made in the two topics that have to do with this. maybe it's just me picking up on them, or maybe i'm just being an ass.

but this is a really cool idea, i like it. best of luck.

Melvins performing Civilized Worm at Amoeba, great video!
http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=M6IvdUz27o0

that reminds me... does anyone have any idea when amoeba is going to put up their Melvins footage? it's been "awaiting approval" for months now. MONTHS.

exactly. the vocals are godly, dale's drums are CRUSHING. earth shattering.

just listen to the first minute of boris and try to argue otherwise.

i love it, i know there are boots in better quality, but it has this aura about it that i can't refuse.

i think the recording quality is part of what makes it so great.

crazy story.

a year or so ago i was living in halifax, the apartment my friends and i were living in happened to be the same apartment that these guys lived in previously...

i'm too lazy to post the rest of the links, but they're all there. basically they played a halloween show at a bar in halifax (gimmick being you play an entire set as another band) as the melvins... kinda.

houdini live got me into the melvins, no joke.

i'm relatively new... but i'm obsessive about anything i like, so it was a quick process becoming obsessed.

i still like that album more than the original.

coooooooool.

well then, we'll attribute it to the obvious difference in testicle size.

the obvious dimensions of dale's kit and the tone of the bass make it (for lack of a better word) deeper. i definitely dig it more than the nirvana version.

that being said, i never really liked Nirvana, so i usually avoid it.
