but the Melvins were so loud we couldn't record anything

LOL we had the same problem with our practice room next door to Cathedral's. In the end we gave up and just went to see Cathedral!

I had a similar issue but it was with a bagpipe heavy metal covers band called Bags of Rock. That just made me go home.

A History Of Bad Men must be one of (if not THE) most covered Melvins songs. Im not sure why it seems so popular.

It's easy to play

Let Me Roll It was the B-side to Jet and might be a slightly deeper cut considering what else is on Band On The Run but you're right, I can't think of anything too obscure off the top of my head.

Gun Club - Promise Me maybe? Sex Beat being the closest to a hit on that record.

Promise Me is the first song that came to my mind too.

Was In Every Dream Home a Heartache a big RM hit? Only really familiar with their album covers.  8-[

I was pleasantly surprised to hear In Every Dream Home a Heartache in the Mindhunter series:

Tomahawk covered that Roxy Music song on their first UK tour, so I wonder if that was an influence on the thought process behind it.

He was British so had stacks of a lot of their bands and he was always trying to talk me into buying albums from Teenage Fanclub he said they sounded just like GD.

I always thought there was a bit in Nude with Boots that sounded like Teenage Fanclub

Got an email exactly like that, but with my name at the top. They should take our details and post us out the correct record, instead of adding us to a mailing list for another lottery

Sea blue, ordered from Amazon UK, no worm.

Ipecac should step up and just send everyone the correct record. It's their fuck up. Let us keep the 'collectors item'

I don't want to get tired of hearing it though

Are they a Melvins covers band or do they do their own stuff too?

I think it's a music school and the teacher picks bands for them to learn, I've seen ones with Fugazi and Poison Idea.
