Everything will be empty except our pockets. It'll be time to find a gal, buy a house, raise some chickens and sit in a rocking chair on the veranda.

Buzz and Dale are two people I have immense respect for-actually they're probably the two musicians I have the most respect for. I guess Buzz has somewhat of a reputation of being a debbie downer, and I can understand people may get tired of him bashing drugs and alcohol in interviews. You know, a lot of people smoke pot and drink casually, and I think it's easy to forget about how much exposure people like buzz has likely had with drugs over the years (I'm not saying he's done them, but certainly been around many junkies and witnessed some shit). Most people aren't professional rock musicians, especially in the sludge/doom/stoner/grunge/whatever "scene" where drugs are going to be very common. Look what happened with Kurt Cobain, Lori, and Kevin (and probably others in his life) Buzz acts very stoic and bulletproof but I'm sure that shit has affected him, more than he likes to typically let on. Every once in awhile he'll spill out some of his sensitive side in interviews, like when he talks about Kurt Cobain seriously for example. You know Kurt considered Buzz to be his mentor-Buzz was like Kurt's big brother-and to then see him end up in a downward spiral with drugs and suicide-and there was nothing he could do for Kurt...that had to have had a lasting effect on him. And he dated Lori, right? So they were pretty close and he saw her get carried away with heroin until she just couldn't be in his life anymore in any way. That's depressing. Jump ahead some years later-I really get the sense that Buzz and Dale thought they had finally found the perfect bass player with Kevin-great player, but also a band member he could be friends with, like Dale. And then Kevin's alcohol abuse came into play. Buzz has stated how upset he was about losing Kevin. So I think Buzz has certainly earned his right to have a negative outlook on drugs/booze. And he's stated that people should be able to do whatever they want, unless they don't fuck with someone else, so it's not like he believes people shouldn't be able to make their own choices with that stuff.

K, I think this is all I got- but still, more than I actually wanted to admit to. I'm not obsessed! I don't have a problem!

The Melvins punished us with Queensryche songs and Grand Funk Railroad "We're An American Band".
The tony iommi cough remix/sweet leaf intro totally made up for that.
