I think I remember reading that he thought Heart was trying to sound like Led Zeppelin. Something along those lines. I like heart, but now I notice the similarity too lol

Were you at SXSW in Austin at the poster convention earlier this year? Met some cool artists who did work for the melvins. Great work man

At one of buzzos acoustic show in Austin a couple years ago there was a girl band called Taco Cat from Seattle that played after him. Coincidence?! They were ok. I used to know the link where buzz explains his nickname but I forgot!

I'm not sure where this news goes but I forgot to mention it last month. While I was at SXSW this year I tracked down the third man bus, got a Melvin's third man vinyl and proceeded to talk to the lady on the bus. She knew her Melvin's stuff and hinted to me that they may have something in the works with third man. She seemed to be telling the truth but didn't give any more details. I guess we will see

Did Walsby have 7"s?
I remember seeing some on the table I believe. I'll ask my buddy tomorrow who has a keen eye as I was rummaging through the posters

Is the Mohawk stage outdoors?
Thanks for the review.
It's a great venue to go to if you are ever in austin.

Topaz, I noticed how Steve kept flailing his hair it was actually pretty awesome having not been used to seeing long hair, glad you enjoyed the show!

Posters and front and back of shirt. Also if anyone can tell me or help me post photos correctly so it's not a pain to view it'd be much appreciated as I am inept at such things, thanks!  :)

That's crazy I just about bought that Bill poster, I was at the show. I bought a neat Hitler one instead. My friend had me assist him while he interviewed buzz and Dale before the show for a newspaper down here. My brain is still trying to wrap itself around getting to do that. Talked to them after the show as well and as usual they were incredibly cool and nice especially since I helped interview them. I can scratch that one off my bucket list now. I will try and post the interview whenever possible, it is Houston Free Press. I know this is the merch thread but I had to write somewhere didn't want to make a new thread I'm still buzzing from the night. I may write a review soon. I'll post what I got

Some have slightly different pickup configurations I believe, him and egc fine tune his guitars to his needs so he's collected a nice collection so far. I'm sure that he has so many for the aesthetics considering the different colors and body shapes if you look carefully. I usually see 3-4 of the egcs in sight when I go to a show and saw Bryant Clifford Meyer ( the guitarist who showed buzz egc, from isis and palms ) change his guitar when a string broke mid song, so it doesn't hurt to have backups. Plus people tend to play guitar differently on different guitars even if it's just the color in my opinion, at least for me, so I think the variety is nice. Since Buzz is one of the main guys who uses egc and promotes them for free I don't think he has paid for all of his guitars in fact I think I remember him saying somewhere they he didn't
