[...] Makes me wonder if the 3rd Melvins TV one will feature Buzz and maybe Trevor doing the opening.

That would be cool. I was listening to Freak Puke today. I like that release a LOT. I would like to hear more T.Dunn & Melvins to be honest, no lie.

Stage 4 cancer, in his hip. He had a limp for a real long time, thought it was an old injury come back to annoy, turns out it was cancer. By the time it was diagnosed it was more or less too late and his decline was rapid. ☹
Rest In Power.
Condolences to his family & friends.

Dale makes it sound as tho they'll continue having opening bands as well, which is another unique take on the livestream concert model. I'm hoping for some Kevin action with Hepatitus!

Big Biz would be also great as opening band, maybe with a BigMelvins set to follow

Buzzo acoustic (3 songs) followed by the Dale Crover Band (6 songs) followed by a live chess match between Buzz and Steven followed by 45 minutes of Melvins. Void Manes does the noises while Steven and Buzz battle it out.

Would happily watch this. 🤘

And for those who might be wondering, yes, Steven is a skateboarder.  :D

The newest issue, #77, of JUICE skateboard magazine ("pools, pipes & punk rock") has a 4 page interview with Steven about the history of Red Cross / Redd Kross. Great read.

me $0.02:
Steven is here to stay - for all the reasons that Sadcorps listed. he fits in with them on such a level I don't think I've seen them have with anybody else except Kevin. They all get along really well both musical and friends.  I can't imagine they would move on without him at this point. A new bassist now I think would be too much a challenge to accommodate at this late in their game (2 years till 40th!!)
I would personally enjoy seeing them pull in an earlier punk influence, that Steven has the pedigree for (hanging out sharing a practice space with Black Flag when you're 12 years old.... jeez!), more than the glam-rock, that he excels at. the snot-mean punk sound on the Melvins stinks so good. imo.

Kevin is the beautifully UGLY side of the MELVINS, he fit 'em like a found used condom fits a too large dick with a tattoo along the shaft in old english script that says "Everybody Is Welcome". gross.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Melvins Hepa-Titus Big Band!!

I like Steven.

I imagine then that it must be a fun song for them to play, evidenced by the fretboard dances of mssr.McDonald. i gave it the devil's horns in appreciation.

A monthly show would be welcome here.

Volume 1 was kick-ass good fun! Will be great to see more Volumes and soon! Interesting song selection, too. Very much enjoyed the revisits of 2 Big Biz era songs. Especially enjoyed Steven's bass work on the Kicking Machine. The whole show sounded super great!
The interviews were hilarious, enlightening, new questions never asked. Hot Damn!
Well done, the Melvins, well done.

Buzz synths are among the few that I think are good. Tres Cabrones and AMAZON come to mind first.

More synths, more handclaps, more everything Melvins!
