yes it was a great show...i hated baroness and i think they cut into melvins set...from the setlists i've seen the melvins cut 3 songs that night.....and what was up with the singer of butt hole sufers coming up at the end but not singing....seems like buzz wasnt letting him or something....it was a cool show but i think house of vans needs better sound

ive noticed people like the kevin era alot which i do too but the albums during that era he only played on h.a.t.......buzz did all the bass on ipecac trilogy.....too me thats more like the buzz bass era...........................as much as i like new line up and trever i do miss mark d......he did add something different to the mix that i think complimented buzzo well.....i like the two drummer combo and i do think they need it....especially live its tremendous to see and as they keep experimenting with the 2 drummers you notice fills and beats are being played differently yet in time, its a beautiful to hear and watch

Melvins Discussion / Re: A book about The Melvins?

actually what about the melvins book "neither here nor there" by ipecac.....theres alot of greatness in there plus they also sell a mini art book of melvins stuff tooo on ipecac, or they did, not sure if sold out or not

it is a song you want to do whispery but he always sings it like that when i've seen them perform that live before especially in the choruses without dunn there.....buzz does that on lots of songs where his vocals are low on the album but he doesnt do that live like on ti[ping the lion.....those vocals are soft but when he does it live the vocals become much harsher

yeah trevor really made it sound like a horror movie soundtrack
#7
they didnt play lividity......
#8
does any one know what the setlist was?

history of drunks sounded great with the 3 piece but the highlight was when the opend with eye flys and dunn had his bow doing a crazy bass line.....i hope they do it for the regular lite shows

they did not do we are dommed, they diid the national hamster and the last song they did was a history of drunks

maybe because it has samples and sound effects at the end....either way it doesn't sound like floyd....it sounds like freak puke

i just finished listening to it...i think it is one of their best....great pairing with trevor.....it's really really really fucking great.....i can see the comparison with h.a.t......also reminds me of stuff that would be on honkey in terms of loose guitar parts.....this is dales most different drumming to date, great compliment with the stand up bass.......very happy right now.....the vocals remind me of some of the new harmonizing stuff they do with big biz but they still through enough spice in their that still gives it it's own flavor.......

that song was amazing....heavy....droning...evil.....reminding me of hostile ambiant but still a life of it's own....i cant wait to see them in new york

got mine it the mail today tooo.....great packaging.....goes well with the theme
