Melvins Discussion / While downloading iTunes.....
September 11, 2012, 04:56:11 PM
I was downloading iTunes onto my laptop, and while looking at the screen thanking me for doing so, one album cover on the iTunes screenshot not only caught my eye, but surprised me at the same time (see attachment).

Great minds think alike!

Ah right! Didn't see that post. At least I'm not the only one. ;)

Oh rats, I really hope this isn't vinyl only. It was bad enough when Big Business did that with their ep last year.
Yeah, I'm not a vinyl guy.  :P

Didn't Buzz say in an interview that he doesn't like vinyl and that it doesn't sell anymore? If so, then why bring out vinyl in the first place? Oh well, I guess I'll just have to listen to it on YouTube, if someone even posts it.

Probably my favourite album cover from The Melvins. As for the album itself, well.....it's slightly better than Colossus Of Destiny. :P

Is it just me, or does "Inner Ear Rupture" sound like a reworking of "Pick It n' Flick It"?  :?

Maybe somebody mentioned this before (if so, my bad), but I'm happy Freak Puke got to #179 in the Billboard charts. Well, The Bride Screamed Murder got to #200, so it's a step in the right direction. :D

From what I saw of The Melvins they were good. Unfortunately, due to a delay in my flight from Dublin, a delay in my train to the venue, and met with a long queue that I spent over an hour in, just to get inside (as I was told beforehand tickets could not be posted to Ireland, of all places that tickets can't be sent to), I ended up missing over half of their set. I'm sure the other bands were good also, but given the amount of hassle just to see the one band I came to see, it was a waste of time.

Oh well, better next time. :/

I'm guessing they're sending the tickets out now. Got an email from the ticket agent where I bought the ticket from. It says they don't post overseas, but I am able to collect it once I bring the credit card I used with me. Still, at least I didn't have to call them.

This should fill up the 90 minutes no problem, but already there are plenty of songs I would like that are not included. Ah well, I'm sticking with this as I can't be bothered with the changes at this stage. ;)

Eye Flys (Colossus Of Destiny version)
We All Love Judy
Honey Bucket (Houdini Live version)
The Water Glass
It's Shoved
Alleged (Unsane cover)
Rickets
The Talking Horse
The War On Wisdom
Sweet Willy Rollbar
Queen
The Bit
A History Of Bad Men
Lovely Butterflies (Electroretard version)
Boris
If I Had An Exorcism
The Savage Hippy
Night Goat (Houdini Live version)
Bar-X-The Rocking M
Judy
The Fool, The Meddling Idiot

that is an awesome set!!!

Cheers dude. :) I made it myself. :D

Top 5 covers:

1. Youth Of America
2. Candy-O
3. The Green Manalishi (With The Two Pronged Crown)
4. Sacrifice
5. Star Spangled Banner :P

No wait, scratch that. This Velvet Underground cover beats everything (fast forward to 4:58). :P

Whatever bits the Melvins or Lustmord did on the album, overall it is a brilliant album, one of my top 5 anyways.

I had to think for a moment whether I've seen them four or five times. So I'll go by the posters:
