Melvins Discussion / Re: Have a listen

That's not a bad idea but I want more control over it. I guess I'm a control freak. I wanna either do it myself or have someone in the room with me that I can tell what to do. I did recently get a Roland hand sonic drum machine thing. It's like a drum pad but u can play with yr hands and it has a bunch of different drum sounds. That is working pretty good so far

Thanks. I actually did contribute to the Melvins tribute. Under "creature". I did the ballad of Dwight Frye cover of a cover.  I'd like to do a Melvins song proper however I'm a one man band and I can't play the drums so my options are kinda limited.  Maybe pitfalls in serving warrants or black Santa or something like that.   One day.

I'll probably get a bunch of shit for this but I just wanted to share my music with some of my fellow Melvins fans

No one by chance has an extra ticket to the Richmond va show that they would be willing to sell would they?  My nephew wants to go to his first Melvins show and it sold out.

In case no one saw the twitter post...
melvins.com‏ @melvinsdotcom
"Announcing our new, double album, a first in Melvins history:
A Walk With Love and Death, out July 7 via Ipecac..."

Sounds interesting. The title comes from a John Houston film of the same name. I think it's from the late 60s I hope it's cohesive and not just 18 songs thrown together.

I know it's way early but would anyone that's going want to be my "Melvins Merch Buddy" and pick me a up a copy of whatever special vinyl they have? I'd be willing to pay for the hassle. We can start a special friendship now so it has time to grow by June.

I wonder if there's any way they can get in trouble by using these covers.

I got lucky on this one. It said sold out when I got on but it was like 2 minutes till sale time so I went ahead and tried to buy it anyway and it worked. I was able to get one. The thing that helped me is that I did it on my iPhone and all of my information was auto filled. Like name address etc. that def saved me some time.

Anyone know what vinyl mackie has? My guess is the war pussy 10". I see the label on one side is blank and the other side has that familiar German skull and crossbones the Melvins use so often and the rest of the image is screen printed on the record. Just wondering if I missed something or if this is maybe a new one.

Melvins Discussion / Re: New Bundle coming soon

The Atlantic years bundle is coming out tomorrow for groundhogs day at 11am for $500 a pop. I think I'm gonna have to sit this one out. That's too rich for my blood. The Melvins will have made $16,000 bucks in a 6 days from these last 2 bundles. I wonder if they are trying to fund some big project...or maybe they are paying for the recording of a new record. Or maybe it's just going towards their retirement.

I can't believe I actually got one!! Though I really wish I could've gotten the basses loaded one. The book sounds interesting.

That's a lot of pages. Any way u can post pics of the story part? I know that's a lot to ask but I'm really interested in reading it and I'm sure I'm not alone. I'm assuming there are a lot of pic pages and not so much of the writing maybe?

I'm always a little surprised with some of buzz's decisions. To me this band sounds like a total tool rip off. I mean I only listened to one song and maybe they have other songs that aren't so obviously unoriginal but the song on that webs page  was such an obvious tool wannabe song that it's ridiculous. Even their artwork and song titles are tool rip offs. I guess just by listening to some of buzz's interviews you would think he would be uninterested in a band like this that's so unoriginal.  But then again he also says he'll do just about anything as long as the money is right
