Melvins Show Reviews / Eugene, Or July 17th 2022
July 19, 2022, 11:48:16 AM
So good to be back seeing the Melvins live, last couple years of no shows sucked! I normally hit the Seattle or Portland shows but Eugene was a great mix up except for the 4 hour drive... Great set list. But I really wanted to say how much I loved Helms Alee. I've watched the Melvins live almost yearly since 2006 and this band could possible be my favorite opener yet. Such a Melvins vibe, I was hooked instantly! Felt so good to be back upfront in your face and unable to hear again. Keep it coming.

Good show! Been a while since I've hit seattle. After all the good feedback from Portlands Doug Fir I'm super bummed I missed out. Love that place but never seen a show there.

I've been mixing it up and went to Portland last few years for the shows. Decided to come back to Seattle this year. But damn didn't notice the Doug Fir show.....I love that place. Would have been a sweet melvins show.

Great show yet again.i thought it was funny the 21 and under section was pinned off into the corner. Really dig the "Don't forget to breath." Been a while since I've seen them play "Let t all be." Good times. Now bring on the dual drums next year!!

It's crazy how fast the Seattle shows sell out now. I've enjoyed the wonderball room in Portland the last couple of years. Nuemos isn't my favorite from Seattle. I'm going to dread the year that I can't watch the live yearly show.....seeing them live from 19-31 I've gotta say there's nothing that compares to a live melvins show, whether it's buzz solo or a lite or a big biz./ melvins, etc. This is my favorite live band of all time and I'll continue until it doesn't exist..

Hawthorne had quite a bit of merch. Usually snag a poster. Decided on a shirt this time, since they actually had Mediums.

Melvins Show Reviews / July 12th Hawthorne theatre

Opening band was pretty damn good. Husband and wife band had some heavy sound to them. Melvins show was great, good set. Amazon is a song they should always play. Only song missing was nightgoat. This trio has really good chemistry. Couple of the newer songs with a mix of oldies. No crowd problems, overall damn good show. My first time at Hawthorne the balcony was great to pregame while watching the openers, then made our way to the front before Melvins started. Faaaantastic night.

Olympia showing was great. Really enjoyed the film,  my first show was my senior year of high school in 05 when they played Olympia with jello and I've seen a show every year since, it was awesome seeing the film and going back through all the years that I've been a part of.  Really enjoyed the merchandise portion. Working in the printing industry, it was cool seeing they touch everything they put out. Great work, and we'll cya at the next show.

Such a great show! Didn't think I'd run into you idle. Great pics! So fuckin happy they did at the stake.

My first live melvins was in Olympia, Wa 2005. With Jello Biafra. I've seen them live every year since, when they come to washington. Sooooooo I've lost count......+ the back to back Seattle shows. Lame bumpershoot festival this year. So first Portland melvins show I've ever seen this year.

Fur sur man. Met him a few times. (That I remember). After last years double header next few shows might have a calmer vibe. But always good times. Next show well do it up right.
