I look forward to a longer song by the Melvins on their albums, but some album songs peak before the 5 minute mark. Like Working With God for instance. Or the Mike and the Melvins Three Men and a Baby. If counting solo albums, then King Buzzo's This Machine Kills Artists. Buzz and Dale's Kiss EP's also, but I think they were meant to be short. I think Joe's almost 23 minute opus makes up for that.  Not that these albums are bad or lacking in any way. I mean we got Tres Cabrones with long songs. Buzz's Gift of Sacrifice has a long song. Maybe Mike and the Melvins will make more epic tunes, probably not though.

"I told you I was crazy" is a great song! The electronic sounds set up the Melvins sludge so sweetly! More of this please!

Does anybody else think of the metal blade released live Slayer EP "Live Undead" when playing this Melvins live EP? Just that they have the same amount of songs on them and their running time is around the same?

Before the Basses Loaded album, so Three Men And a Baby.

Maynard doesn't sound like himself when singing divorced.

Flush on NWB reminds me of the middle part of Drain You with the skweeky rat sounds.  :P

I'm pretty easy going with what the Melvins want to put on their albums, but Shaving Cream & Take Me Out To The Ballgame aren't very good. Not much redeemable qualities.

Totally makes sense. I love a good headscratcher of an ending to a record, and vinyl gives you more ending spots.
With The Bloat, Soup, Lacrimosa, and Cottonmouth all as side endings, that's pretty weird.

I didn't like a single song on it.

Oh well.

With the Third Man record pressing of Stag, I noticed something at the end of side A. It ends with the bloat. Dale hitting his ribbon crasher over and over in rhythm. But since you have to turn the record over to side B, obviously you have to wait for tipping the lion to play. To me Dale's part sounds stretched out longer since you have silence until you turn the record over for the next song. It's like listening to it for the first time. Maybe I'm concentrating on that part harder. If this makes any sense... 8-[

I like putting on this EP when I'm in a playful mood. It's not something you think of when you listen to the Melvins. The first 3 songs sound like Shitkid's best songs, but I think I like the cover of "Tattooed love boys" the most.

And really dig Honky once in a while, depends on the mood... Sometimes she said it's genius sometimes it's sad and dark and painful.
Sounds like a good description of Honky!

With four CD's at 45 minutes each, that would equal 3 hours of melvins.
