You nailed it 100% Pastor of Muppmaster. The Melvins are still around because they are true to their craft and don't give a shit about what the masses think of their music. The Melvins continue to be on the front edge of all that is relevent and it will be more apparent as time continues.............Big Biz Melvins is next.......damn that is gonna be sweet.......Jared and Cody of Big Biz are very worthy of the chance to meld with the Melvins. Look at it this way, Buzzo and Dale are getting F'ing old just like the rest of us. Buzz is gray as hell and just cranks like there is no tomorrow. Dale is one of the most incredible drummers of all time. These guys are legends. Buzz wrote a ton of the music on the new Jellvins release, and it is sweet. The Melvins are just a wise old seasoned band that amazingly tours all the time (still) and it is just fucking amazing to me. They work harder than most bands and are always friendly to their fans.    :x

The Melvins Big Biz tour won't be until after the first of the year sometime. I am under the impression that it will be a larger tour than the Jelvins short tour.

I like everything about this one. I'm not a big Jello fan, but what can I say I think it's great. I too was at the Neumo's show where Kali-fornia was recorded. They mixed it real nice and it sounds good. The whole damn thing is mixed nice you can crank the hell out of it and it's not to low. This shit rocks, can't wait for the tour, only wish I could get a taste of that "Houdini live" action. Oh yeah, you can really hear Adam's guitar on some of the tracks too, a nice addition. What would it sound like if Adam jumped into the Melvins Big Biz machine?

rhett,

I just realized Dicks is only about 3 blocks up the street from Neumo's. HOW CONVENIENT. I'll be in the parking lot before the show having a few shots of Crown after lining my belly with tasty grease.

I don't think you'll be seeing Big Biz until sometime next year. Jelvins are playing with Altamont on some dates. You wouldn't want to get too crazy and have the Melvins Big Biz dual drum carnival sideshow  with Jelly Roll, all in one show.........When we finally see Melvins and Big Biz together it will be one hell of a spectacle.

Hey Rhett,

Looks like most everyone on this post is from the Seattle area. How about you hook us all up in the parking lot before the show with a big bag of Dick's gut bombs?

I'm guessing we will probably see David Scott Stone on bass with Adam Jones on guitar for the upcoming Melvins/Jello tour. Then we'll see the Melvins Big Biz tour with Jared on Bass. I don't think they are in a hurry to add a permanent bassist, they are just doing their thing and rolling right along.
