Melvins Discussion / Re: King Buzzo Tour Dates and Roll Call
« on: March 16, 2020, 01:18:19 PM »
Makes me wonder if we will see an uptick in limited edition album releases, since the money made by touring will be going away.
Will they be making more new music, available through boutique releases, if the live scene is no longer there?

Oops looks like there is a required promo code...anyone happen to know what it is?

Doug

Thanks Idle!  Tickets purchased.
Of course I had guessed 'Doug Fir' before I saw this....just a bit outside.

I’m excited about the Portland venue.  Amazing sound and comfortable atmosphere.  Only been there twice over the years.  Once for Om and once for Autechre.  Missed Melvins there last fall because tickets sold out so fast and life was moving even faster.  Doubt this will sell out quite as fast but I will be getting my tickets right when they go on sale.

One of my favorite venues in town...they start selling at 10am...I'll be missing a few minutes of a meeting just in case they sell out as fast as last time.

FYI, the pink edition is now available to purchase...

Nice to see Dale throwing some support to these bands!

All Souls is great, and while CFM isn't my favorite Charles Moothart (from Ty Segall's band) still kicks ass!

This was initially titled, "Bangers" and that cover with the naked clown lady was never used, right?
Sucks that they were booted off the tour for such a simple disagreement.

Makes me wonder who did the art, why it was chosen, and why it was such a make or break issue for the band?

If I had to guess there might be a little bit more to this story...

Coincidence?

Ty Segall and Lightning Bolt’s Brian Chippendale have formed a new duo known as Wasted Shirt. Ty plays guitar, bass and sings; Brian plays drums. Their debut album, Fungus II, will be out February 28 via Famous Class
