You're comparing YouTube videos from two different people at two different shows. Good job.

Melvins Show Reviews / Birmingham: June 10, 2010

Great show. Sold out and the crowd was pretty decent.

Same setlist as what you've seen up to this point. Holy crap, have I got goosebumps from the Lysol stuff. And finishing off with a super-long rendition of Lovely Butterflies was amazing.

Melvins Discussion / Melvins not in "GRUNGE" book?
October 07, 2009, 04:43:36 PM
I saw the new Thurston Moore book "Grunge" at a record store last night. I decided to flip through it to see what bands were mentioned in there - and the Melvins were conspicuously absent.... but the Butthole Surfers were mentioned.

Now, I know Melvins aren't really "grunge" or whatever, but shouldn't they figure into the book as at least a footnote when Nirvana is plastered all over it?

What's up with that? Did I miss it or is is Thurston getting senile?

What do you think?

Haven't seen any track by track accounts of the CD yet, and I won't be downloading before I buy the CD.

Melvins Show Reviews / Atlanta 9/1/2009

I was there.

It was awesome. Usually I don't like seeing the Melvins as openers, but the sound was so glorious, loud and clear I didn't care. These guys are so tight it's ridiculous. The double drum thing is really achieving its peak.

The guy who made Buzz's guitar was there as well. I need another one of these guitars. So great.

For those of you wondering whether to spend the dough to see the show, DO IT. So worth it. That Devo cover is killer.

Melvins Discussion / Melvins on "Sound FX" tv show
February 10, 2009, 11:41:17 AM
Hey,
Speaking of the Melvins on basic cable, did anyone see their live interview / performance on "Sound FX" on the FX channel in 1994? They were doing promo for Stoner Witch, and one of the hosts was Jeff Probst, the dork from SURVIVOR.

They played "Goose Freight Train" and the co-hosts bobbed their heads to the beat in a serious fashion.
