Isn`t it the singer of Neurosis?
Definitely the Weedeater chap, although i can see why you would think it looks like Scott Kelly.

Agreed, plus I've never seen Scott smile.

i actually made him laugh at the Neurosis show this year.

So who's the Skrillex of this list (#100)? Damian Marley?

I don't really agree with any of the top ten except maybe the James Brown drummers. The five I'm shocked that didn't make the list at all are Mikkey Dee, Philthy Animal Taylor, Mark Greening, Away and Yoshida Tatsuya.

I can't imagine what their top 100 bassists list will be.

There main problem with this list is the term "alternative." What does that mean when you have drummers from Black Sabbath, RHCP, Nirvana, The Police, Prince, etc.

And then Spin tries to blend in people from the jazz and experimental end of things...how do you compare Robo to Han Bennink and Tony Allen? You can't, it's silly.

And if you are putting jazz people in the list why the fuck is Joey Baron at 70???

Fwiw, I think that of the top ten, Modeliste, ?uestlove, Liebizeit and Allen all belong.

Thanks for the link. It's insufferable!!

Honestly, though, thanks for the link. I was very interested in reading the article. The writer, however, may have to pay a plumber's rate to have his head removed from his ass. That is some painful prose.

not a good fact-checker either...i'd already corrected him when he stated that Gluey Porch Treatments came out in 1989.

Sleep is an important part of the human condition.
Sure is.

Jason chopped his hair again...didn't recognize him at first at the Neurosis show.

I saw them on two different continents and tried to ask them questions that were not annoying.

seven continents would be a lot more impressive.

7 countries in 7 days? don't most bands that tour Europe do that?
