The Golden Age = Six Songs through Honky
The Silver Age = The Maggot through (A) Senile Animal

Those are the two classic eras for me.
Yeah, I'd put it similarly.

But to be honest, I hardly ever listen to any album past H.A.T.

Any live recording from any era will work though!

Nice try

Glad you're enjoying them!

I am honestly convinced Neubauten would be much bigger a name and way more successful today if Blixa hadn't antagonized so many people in the business. It really is a shame.

Here's another good set, plus you get the wonderful Wire and an incredible set by German trio Caspar Brötzmann Massaker who basically blew both other bands off the stage that night:

They are actually quite brilliant - started off in the early 80s doing super noisy industrial stuff, then slowly honing their musical skills and style and writing great tunes as well.
Take a look here to get an idea of their current sound:

They are also all really nice people - except for the singer.

You should check out their show if they make it back to the US, one of the most interesting live acts around. I think they had gigs planned for last year...

It's funny, every musician hero of mine that I have met has been a really nice person. Just from the Melvins - Buzz, Dale, Steven, Mark D, Jared, Coady - all super fucking nice people. I haven't yet met an asshole rock star / musician - I know they are out there somewhere!

Just stay away from Blixa Bargeld....

Melvins Discussion / Pollstar interview with Buzz

One of the more down to earth ones I've read by him, lots of details about how he does business and what he expects to happen regarding touring:

Melvins Discussion / Re: New interview with Dale

Great interview - I guess it helps if you are prepared with some slightly different questions!

And yeah, Dale is cool. One of the coolest musicians I ever met.

Really looking forward to the album!

This could have been such a great interview had the interviewer shown a little more interest in Buzz' answers.... like when Buzz talks about the Chris Cornell tribute show. Too bad the interviewer didn't pick up on it.

Loved Buzz' top 5 Melvins albums list.
