they were down to only xl sizes at the atlanta show last night, and even though i'm a size large i grabbed one for collector purposes. also grabbed larges of the dead bassists and the big biz eagle shirt that i can actually wear. if anyone has a large size devil shirt and wants a xl i'm happy to trade. otherwise i'm happy to have one.

Melvins Discussion / Re: 08 Tour roll call

So who is going to the Atlanta show on the 17th? I just worked out details to be able to go with a couple friends. Only one of them actually likes the Melvins enough to listen to them on his own, and he only listens to a few albums; the other went to a show in Nashville with me in 2006 and enjoyed it and is willing to come along for the fun of it. But after the disappointment of not being able to see them this year since no Nashville date I decided I had to make the trip to see them and Atlanta seemed like the easiest choice. The decision maker was the set list, as Boris and Tripping the Lion and Eye Flys are worth paying a few hundred for hotel and gas to see the Melvs. But anyway, who else is going that night? Do you guys think there will be any Melvins VS Minn CD's left then?

What quality are these files? Is there any way for some good quality copies to see the light? Maybe a V0 mp3 or cbr 320kbps? At this point I don't even download 192kbps anymore.

Melvins Discussion / Re: Kozik art?

Yeah I was barely getting any hours for a few weeks there, and I've got seniority over a lot of people there (been there a year+). Had to free up a lot of availability that I didn't want to and got lucky enough to have like 4 people quit in a week.

This is the book I was talking about, no surprise in the last 5 months (since I read through it) no one has bought it. I seem to remember it listed Buzz's last name as Melvin or something else that was really wrong.

We have a book at my work (Borders) thats about alternative music in the 90's that has that on the cover. I read the part about the melvins, was really short and had misinformation. i'll find out what book it was today when i go in to work.

yeah, hasn't he been recording albums for them since H.A.T. or before? that was like 2002. i'm 21 now and there is no way he is younger than me. if i had to guess he's probably like jared and coady's age.

BBS Nick name : heavyR
Real name: Philip T. Welch IV (thought it would be funny to put the full name up here)
Sex: Male
Age: 21
Nationality: Southern american
Where you live: Born raised and plan to stay in Nashville, TN
Sexual orientation: Strait
Occupation: Full time student, CIS major (I'm a junior)
Hobbies: HBO shows, working part time at a Borders, hanging with my girlfriend, collecting and listening to music (becoming big into doom and black metal also more of the ambient drone shit. Be sure to check out Gnaw Their Tongues.)
Favourite food: My moms pork chops
Favourite drink: Iced Tea lightly sweetened, and bud ice alcohol wise
How many other Melvins fans do you know (on here not included): A few random people who will come to shows with me, a couple others that have downloaded some albums from hearing stuff from me.
How long have you been a Melvins fan: like 4 years, since 2004. For longer if you count when I first got 'Divorced' and 'Night Goat' around 2001.
First Melvins album you heard: Can't remember, first I really liked as The Bootlicker
First Melvins album you owned: Sieg Howdy! vinyl.
Favourite Melvins album: Hostile Ambient Takeover, or the Trilogy if you count that as album (I only have the vinyl and crybaby on CD)
Least Favourite Melvins album: 26 Songs, or maybe some of the noise albums. But just because I haven't listened to them much, I don't think that I necessarily dislike them.
Favourite Melvins Track: Either The Fool, The Meddling Idiot or The Man With the Laughing Hand is Dead
Least Favourite Melvins Track: Either the DCH half of the live version of Set me Straight or In the Rain from Singles
Favourite Melvins track performed live: Black Stooges, maybe, just for the drums in the middle. I do get chills every time I hear the Night Goat intro still, I know thats the standard Melvins fan answer
Least favourite Melvins track performed live: Going Blind maybe? (I've never been a fan of the studio version though)
How many times have you seen the Melvins live: Twice
How many Melvins albums do you own: Electroretard, Joe Preston, Gluey, Ozma, A Senile Animal (waiting for vinyl), Alive at the Fucker Club, Colossus, the Singles 1-12, ToraToraTora, 26 Songs. Also some random singles though , I have some like H.A.T. and the Purge of Dissidents two singles, also the Sawed Off.
Second Favourite band after the Melvins: I dunno, I listen to a lot of shit lately. Maybe Burning Witch right now, or Secret Chiefs 3.
Any other business: Middle Tennessee State University is my only other business for about 3 more semesters.
