Hey bro, I envy you.  I wish I could have heard the Melvins at age 15.  Glad to see younger lads listening to great music, and not that emo-screamo bullshit.  Too much of that shit nowa days.  I believe I was 18 or 19 when I first heard the Melvins, it was my senior year in High School.

And by the way this show was tits.  I probably saw you(I had a green Claypool shirt), I did see some young kids there, but that's a good thing, newer generation of Melvins fans.

I happened to pick up the blood shirt (melvins), pretty cool and picked up Nude with Boots for only 10bux, saved some dough for sure.

I guess I just got lucky I've always had a weird taste in music haha!
and the first time i heard the melvins it just really appealed to my taste! (i was 13)
erin got me into them (she was a member here,im not sure if she still visits these forums though)
And I couldn't agree more emo-screamo is bull way way too much and people actually enjoy it ehh
atleast you didnt discover them at 40 haha
40 yr old melvins virgin
that woulda sucked even more but better late than never

I dont know if i saw you i was a tall guy with a black baseball cap
and a grey adidas shirt lmao (no cash for a eggnog shirt D-':)
I hope newer generations kill bad fucking music like what we have today

and for those who are curious about giant squid

IMO sounded way better live

I'll never see Melvins. And... fuck it. I can listen audio.
No seriously don't settle for JUST the audio.
Get your ass over here to the states!
When Buzz says in interviews about how the
ezperience of seeing bands live is better (espescially the melvins)
he was so right!
everything sounds WAY better live.
heavier also!by far
the energy is amazing.
You'll love it.

Yes eye flys AND boris! the very last song was boris
and yes my generation was sludgy and slow not fast
maybe not boris slow a little faster but still slow
at first i couldnt tell it was a who cover until i listened to the lyrics!haha!
i was standing there like "holy shit is this new?what song is this?"
thinking back it sounded similar i was just musically retarded at the moment lol

glen: Yes its very true!
Thanks,man!

The show was fucking amazing.
posiibly the best nite of my life!
the melvins played with giant squid (local band)
and big business (ofcourse)
GIANT SQUID started off everything with 4 songs
and then BIG BUSINESS came on they played
hands up
grounds for divorce
easter romantic
and while coady had "technical d's" with his drums jared and toshi covered my sharona by
the knack and jared told a couple good jokes
and i beleive two new songs (which were fantabulous)
which jared announced they played and was available on their "tour EP".
After much waiting the MELVINS finally appeared on stage
Buzz in his moomoo dale in a muscle shirt jared jeans and tshirt
and jared in a weird sortof toga/dress
they played alot of songs ill list ones i can recall
every track on (a)senile animal*
the kicking machine
billy fish
dog island
suicide in progress
the smiling cobra
nude with boots
the stupid creep
honeybucket
eye flys
really heavy and sludge-esque version of my generation by the who
star spangled banner
boris
every song played was extremely heavy
everyone started moshing during honeybucket (fun as hell)
some crazy dancers in the audience
the air smelled like a combination of pot cigs liquor and perfume/calogne
i stood right next to buzz ( he seems smaller in person)
didnt get to talk to him though cause he was in a rush
BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE.PERIOD.
that show changed me forever
i plan to see the MELVINS
ALOT more in the future
that show made me an even bigger MELVINS fan
and even really got me into big business and giant squid
(morseo than i already was)
It inspired me even more artistically and musically

Rolling stone magazine reminds me of a 10 year old
who watches a load of MTV wears a lips and tounge RS band shirt
and has only heard
2 hendrix songs,plays SLTS on repeat,and claims
they listen to classic rock acts when in fact they dont
or have only heard 3 songs from each artist
and only cite those bands for some form of credibility
or to look "cool".
This magazine is a magazine I for one do not take seriously.

Hey, I'll be at the same show, I'm coming down from chico. I'm 10 years older than you but I don't like punching 15 year olds in the face. I'll be the skinny short guy with long hair right next to the fucking stage.
Awsome!
I'll be the 6'00'' skinny guy with medium-long brown hair
probably wearing a hat
I'm hoping to get right next to the stage

I was watching that preformance of mississippi queen by mountain
and I couldn't help but notice their similarities.
big guys with a fro and a les paul playing
moderatley heavy music.
