Melvins Discussion / Re: Melvins Vinyl for Sale on Ebay
December 12, 2007, 01:31:18 PM
yeah, i could see paying about $250 for the set on a good day, but wow!  splitting them up and selling them as singles was certainly more profitable for the seller.

this one should be really interesting to watch, esp. since this is a HOF song right?  or is this The Melvins covering a HOF song?  i never could figure out which one it was.

yeah, it was really a highlight of the night for me - in Knoxville he did the Lee Roy Mercer skit about the boots getting wet.

just an outro that is sort of a drum take off of Dwight Fry.  it seems to have been growing since the start of the tour where it was only a couple of minutes to where it is now 4-5 mins of them playing around and Dale telling a couple of different stories according to what mood strikes him.

wow - got mine for $5.  it was $10 day of show.  of course, i had a guy quote me $100 for a poster of an up-and-coming band because he only had 2 left.  no thanks for him :)

nice poster though - like it better than the gumby on mantis.

that was nash-vegas alright.  twas the only night on the southern run where J wore the outfit he had on.  the other 4 nights he came out with just a "cape" on over his usual attire.

he didn't "quit" from what i can gather, but was simply not having fun this tour and so they told him to take off the rest of the tour and go back home.  i believe they all think he is just a bit burned out and a bit of time will have him back in the saddle.  talking to him in Atlanta he did seem a bit...odd.  he is usually such a pleasant person and just seemed strained i guess would be a good word.  here is wishing him the best.

sorry bro, i know you got our backs. you are becoming the premier taper. you should ask if they'll let you tape from the soundboard. my only "connection" to the melvins will be running late so i might not have the chance to do it myself.

i usually try and get a SB also - Kurt is cool about it and venues they go to are also.  i don't know how Nash-vegas turned out as I was trying something completely different with one set of mics and then screwed up and put two different caps on my other set (DOH!).  at least one was a card and the other a hyper so maybe things will not be that bad.  anyway, decent show - not the best of the southern run, but right in the middle for certain.  there was  guy doing video and we may try and sync up what i got to the vid for release - will have to see how things work out.

i am guessing you didn't make it - don't recall talking w/you.

haha i sat next to you during most of the show, yakking it up with rusty shackleford.  you didn't have the moustache and goat before, didn't you? i wasnt too sure. i was drinking thanks to rusty's sister.

hmmm....were you the dude to my right?  there was another cat from this board that i talked to that was behind me and to the left slighty.  last time i had a full goat and 'stache, but i trimmed it down and grew the handlebar just recently.  mmmm...alcohol....eh, i think i will stick w/water for a while - got that drink 1 drink 1/5th problem.

Knoxville one has been the best/funniest i have seen from this tour.  had the "M" in Melvins in the style of McDonalds and had the Mc-D characters sitting around as in the last supper.
