I went outiside for a smoke when they played that song and it's my biggest regret to date.  I would've thrown the cigarette right on the ground and run inside but I was getting to know my friends new girlfriend and couldn't escape the small talk.  Why couldn't she talk during "The Bit" or some song which doesn't give me the musical horn.

I'd like to see them play "Ramblin Man" and "Okie from Muskogee" back and forth while the Nu Orlinz rednecks from Down and the Texan one too all run around screaming yeeehaaar and having a right old ho down with their plaid shirts and vietnam vet headbands.

Alternatively you could have Phil Anselmo give a 45 minute rant about smoking weed, eating pussy, killing trends and other such shite while Melvins pummel the audience with drum duels, slide bass and noise solos.

jared say big business will not be playing during this tour.  of course he wasn't show specific.
just a generic "we will not be playing".
Perhaps he's taking a stand.  Maybe he reads this forum and he's doing it out of loyalty to al Melvins fans who don't approve.

i bet after this tour they'll be ready to hit the studio to record new album
Yeah and it's gonna be produced by Buzz's old pal Phil Anselmo and released on Anselmo's House Core records.  It's gonna follow the pattern of Houdini with Anselmo taking over from Cobain.  Buzz is in this months Guitar World showing off his brand new confederate flag  guitar and he's gonna be communicating alot more with the audience this time round using phrases like Fuckin A, hell yeah and especially smoke weed!  The mumus will be replaced by filthy combat shorts, and venom t shirts that have been through the wash fifty thousand times.  Also Buzz is getting inked.  The immortal words Buzz Core will be tattooed on his knuckles shortly.  Mackie will no longer be doing album  artwork  unless it contains snakes, pentagrams, whiskey bottles, confederate flags and skulls, lots of skulls.

I can't believe he wouldn't be able to own a cat. Is there any truth behind that?
There is absolutely no truth in that.  I started the rumour and now I'm ending it before I tarnish Buzz's reputation any more.  I still think it's no way to handle a grown cat and yes I know it was not Buzz who was holding it but still.

I like the Mare "Nightgoat" song even though I can't recognise any Nightgoat part from it.  At least they did something twisted and unpredictable.  High on Fire doing "Oven" is great,  Eyehategod is pretty good while being fairly straightforward.  Dillinger's vocal style doesn't suit "Honey Bucket" at all.  Mastodon's cover of "The Bit"  is just boring.  CKY do a good job of "Laughing with Lucifer...".  It's not a great album overall but you should buy it for the Derek Hess artwork.

Didn't Ministry do that song Jesus Built My Hotrod?
They sure did along with many other wonderful moments.  Ministry rule.  It's as simple as that.

It's a bonus that Ministry was included.  They have more credibility than a lightning fast Dutch guitarist and a 40 something catholic singing about satan for easy money.

If Down pulled this same pose I wonder what your reactions would be.

Pantera is a terrible name alright and does anybody remember Rex Brown used to be known as Rex Rocker.  Thats bordering on Tracii Guns territory.  Anyone ever read Vinnie Pauls column in Revolver?  A grown man with the vocabulary of a cretin.  Seems to me that Phil Anselmo was the only member with a brain plus of all the Pantera offshoot bands Phil's are the only credible ones.  Remember Damageplan and Hell Yeah?  "Alcohaulin ass" for fucks sake!  Makes me think that George Bush isn't the only village idiot in Texas.

I'd rather see Melvins with Down than have them attached to Tool in any way.  It's like your children hanging around with kids who are a bad influence.  Tool would bore the tits off anyone and they have the audacity to think they are cultured and progressive.  Hopefully someday someone will see through the facade and realise Maynard is just a small man with a big ego and a reasonable voice with no stage presence and Danny carey is just a drummer who can play complex paradiddly shite til the cows come home.  It reeks of pretension.

Africa is where we came from.
This is true in the grand scheme of things.  I wonder how neo nazis and kkk feel about that.  the truth hurts I suppose.
