Melvins Album Discussion / Re: STAG

I agree about Dale's drumming. That was one of the first things I noticed about Melvins, other than that huge, heavy, loud sound. It is awesome to see him play along side someone like Dave Lombardo on the Big Band dvd.

Finally got it downloaded today and am listening to it right now. Plan to photoshop the artwork so it will fit in a cd case. Lots of good stuff on here and is always interesting to hear bands that Melvins cover.

to be fair you did say "and other artwork"

I meant "other art" as in, other stuff besides Melvins posters(shirts, coasters, banners etc) but it matters not.

Awesome Blackula poster by the way

Just downloaded Songs Melvins Have Covered from the thread on here. Thanks GreenHoney!

I think prickhonky meant melvins oriented art. you know... draw something cool and write a big fat "Melvins" over it. or like portraits of the band members etc. stuff like that.
thats a link to bbs member art with little to nothing to do with the melvins.

indeed you are correct sir, thank you.

Not sure if there is already a thread on here for this. I am curious to see if any of you Melvins fiends on here have created your own Melvins posters or other artwork?

I totally forgot to include the Burn In Hell Kurt Cobain poster that Walsby drew back in 2006 that he was nice to enough to have the band sign for me. Also acquired a Dale Crover broken drum stick from that show.

do Melvins ever sign stuff for the fans? I was lucky enough to have my poster of Kurt Cobain burning in hell that Walsby drew signed by them in 2006, but he made it sound like it wasn't something they did very often, although he was nice enough to have them sign it for me anyway.

I also heard that the songs on this album are not the only ones they played that night. The only live release with Bar-X The Rocking M on it(except maybe live recordings by fans)

This was the first of the more "experimental" Melvins releases I heard. I was totally blown away the first time I heard it. Would also love to see them do Bar-X The Rocking M live, even without the trombone part.

Of the Trilogy, I would say the Bootlicker gets the most play time followed by the Maggot. Even though it is really mellow, it is still an incredible album.

Other than the cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit, the Crybaby is a pretty damn good album. Love The Man With The Laughing Hand Is Dead and Divorced the most

Without a doubt one of the best and heaviest Melvins releases. The first time I heard this I was in complete amazement that anything could sound that fucking intense. This is what I imagine it would be like to piss tar or molasses

Just bought my first Melvins vinyl. It is the Night Goat/Adolescent Wet Dream 7" in blue vinyl. They had it in blue or white so I went with blue. Can't wait to start building my Melvins vinyl collection.

Who ever is bidding against me on this, you can have it......I love that shirt but $80 (w/shipping) is my limit.

I was one of those people, but I crapped out at $30. Would pay more but can't afford it.
