I didn't want to post my Melvins collection before because I thought it was small, but after seeing this thread, I am really embarrassed at its size. The only stuff I have is all of their stuff on cd, the Salad of 1000 Delights dvd, Melvins/Fantomas Big Band dvd, a few shirts and a live recording of them in Orlando in 2006.

What does the See You In Hell shirt look like? Don't really care as I will buy one anyway, just curious

Personally I happen to like Adam Jones' contributions to the records both studio and live that he has played on. I am also a big fan of Tool so I guess that explains it.

See ... it's all just sound ... Harsh Noise? Ambient? Experimental? Blah Blah Blah ... they're like a breath apart ... Pop? Metal? Hardcore? Free Jazz? Blah Blah Blah ... are like a huff and a puff away from that ... I donno music is music ... sound is sound ... its' all the same really ... Like tonight I listened from Pasty Cline into; Agrophobic Nosebleed remix into; a Rai compilation (Algerian Protest Folk) into; Bastard Noise into; Django Reinhardt into; some classic North Indian drone music; and ending now w/ a little Thin Lizzy ... even the hum of my fridge can be pretty cool ... I donno sound is cool ... and even in something seemingly random there is shape, motif, texture, dynamics to be found ... I mean that's why people made music in the first place ... they were intrigued by the "noise" around them in nature ... 

Very well put my friend, you made some extremely valid points about music as a whole.

I suppose the closest thing to anything in the "noise" genre I own would have to be Lustmord, but I don't think that is considered "noise". I always assumed it was more ambient or experimental.

Mine's dark green w/ white lettering, Bootlicker's a slightly lighter olive green w/ white lettering, and Crybaby is school bus orange w/ white lettering.  Got 'em all when they came out, so they must be first press...

that's what colors mine are though I didn't get them until 2005 sadly.

Honky is a great album in my opinion and one of the reasons why I love Melvins as much as I do. They continue to put out whatever they want without giving a shit what anyone else might think.

this is absolutely my favorite Melvins album and their best IMO. Boris is a masterpiece of balls out slowness and heaviness that no one pulls off like Melvins.

one of the many reasons people hate the melvins also happens to be the reason i love them so. prick is great.

that pretty much sums up my thoughts on the band. I love them for the fact that they do shit like this and don't give a fuck what anyone, including their fans think.

listening to this album right now. One of my favorites and fun to blaze to. The Fantomas/Melvins Big Band version of Sacrifice on the dvd was great.
