Melvins Album Discussion / Re: Colossus of Destiny
August 13, 2009, 05:57:39 PM
I loved this album from the very first time I heard it. It is cool to find out the role that Adam Jones played in the making of this. I had no idea he was almost "controlling" the sounds Buzzo, Dale and Kevin were making. Is there a video of this performance in its entirety? I saw it in 6 different parts on Youtube but want it uncut

Love this album and loved seeing them play The Bloated Pope live. Hopefully they will play a different song from POTRE on this tour

that is an awesome pic of Dale and Lori. Need to check out Altamont as soon as possible, am embarrassed to say I haven't yet.

Nice to meet you too. Not really sure which one I prefer, I like them both equally I guess.  COD gets more play time than Prick but that is about it.

looking for any older Melvins t-shirts size L or XL. Will pay good price for them if they are in good shape. Would also like to have a copy of the Colossus of Destiny show to go with the cd.

i don't think it was a joke and the fact Buzz considers COD as one of his favourite Melvins albums proves that.

thanks. glad to finally understand. I like to play that album when I want people to get the hell out of my apartment. Plus I enjoy the looks they give me when they hear it

Looking forward to getting this on Sept. 29th. I love the idea of them giving each remixer and entire album worth of songs to remix rather than just one. It should be really awesome to hear everyone's interpretation of Melvins tunes.

Melvins Discussion / Colossus of Destiny question

I have read several reviews for this album that state this was released by Melvins as a joke Just wondering if this was true. I love the album no matter what, I was just curious. Either way, I think it was a brilliant idea to play a "noise/experimental" show and then release it as a live albun.

I really hope I can find a ride to the Orlando show on Sept. 2nd. I have absolutely no desire to see Down whatsoever, I would much rather see Melvins headline as I'm sure everyone else on here would.
