this is the third bushfire i've been not far from after being up in sassafras during the dandenongs fires, and then near the mt. beauty fires as well a few years back- plus i was in a housefire that i only just got out of.

Yeah, I know who he is. I meant that at the time of the gig I didn't know he was involved.

I found Umlaut extremely tedious myself...
Nowhere near Bungle or SC3 in my opinion- though I am The Fool! 
No doubt Bar's talented, but they do nothing for me.
Even Patton couldn't get me interested in the song he sang with them, though that was probably the best song of their set.

It was not a good setting for them, that's for sure. And to start your set with "Are you guys ready to rock?" was lame (because they didn't).

I didn't know Bar was involved, so assumed they were just ripping of the style/sound. I still enjoyed them, though.

I had a hell of a time getting there. I thought it was meant to start at 8pm - isn't that what the website said? Anyway, I had to leave work early, race to pick my daughter up from childcare, take her home, feed her, then get her over to my folks' place to babysit. I got to Ding Dong about 8 and the previous show's crowd was still coming out. All the band walked by at various times but not that many people seemed to notice them.

Anyway, it was veeeeery hot, and hotter inside.

I'm about to buy this compilation but are there two versions? A Digipak and 2CD Jewel Case? Or just one and if it is which packaging is it?

I've only seen it as a 2CD jewel case.

The sound quality is kinda poor, and all of the track breaks are incorrectly positioned, and it's very short. But I do have a soft spot for "Fucker Club" because i was at the show!

I've been out of the loop lately, but in a random conversation with a shop assistant yesterday I heard about the tour, checked the website this morning and got a ticket. Phew!

Melbourne does have AC/DC Lane (and the Melvins played at Cherry Bar there).

The price is what kept me from getting this beauty..  I'm still very eager to buy the comic book though.
