michale azerrad - our band could be your life

They are mentioned maybe once, in the Beat Happening chapter I believe. But I wouldn't call it an appearance.

well, i didn't call it 'appearance', but they occur 6 times in the book.

'''''In addition to his musical and comedic skills, Crover has plans to release a drummer's fanzine, aptly titled Bongo Lips. "I've interviewed the drummers from Hammerhead and Poison Idea. We'll have lots of drummer jokes and good clean fun - just talkin' drums with the boys." '''''

has it ever been published? has anyone seen a Bongo Lips issue? any info?

how have you contacted buzz for the interview?

i used the official way and contacted the press department of the festival. it worked out pretty well, but i will write an article for an austrian magazine about the melvins - so that was the official reason that made it a lot easier.

thanks for the nice words! Buzz was extremly relaxed and easy going.

How was the crowd's reaction? Did you see the Liars too? Were any of the old tunes new to the setlist? Or was it (from the top of my head), Oven, Your Blessened, Night Goat, Revolve, The Bit... 'that kinda stuff' ;)

the crowd liked it! i mean: you can't deny it was a festival and not a club concert, but for that, it was REALLY good. some kids moshed, some securities flipped out a little bit, but nothing serious.
and yes, it was 'that kinda stuff' , you have a good memory! it was a great evening, once again the Melvins have shown that they just know what they do.

i saw parts of the Liars...i'm not a big fan of them so i can't tell you really what it was like. they have one song i really like, it's called "Leather Prowler", and if i remember correctly, it was their opener.

what can i say? it's been really REALLY great!! some new (
