A similar story for many my age, I'm sure - my friends and I were a little over the top interested in Nirvana - right around '95 or so. One of my buddies grabbed either Stoner Witch or Houdini (I don't recall) and brought it over - after we read about the Melvins in some Nirvana biography or interview or something. We would have been in 6th or 7th grade at this time. Saw them for the first time in 97 with Helmet and Skeleton Key at First Ave. in Minneapolis - been hooked ever since - and seen them near twenty times since.

Well, that sucked for that crowd. Don't throw shit, kids.

I love Stag for the sheer variety it has.

What piqued my interest the most was how he said recording Stag was a hard time. That might possibly be my favorite, or near my favorite Melvins album, and I would be most interested to hear about its recording.

Great show as usual. My bro and his GF came with me, and it was her first time seeing Melvins. Plus another buddy of mine came out to see Hepa/Titus (big Cows fan) and he hadn't seen the Melvins yet either - They were both having a blast. Very excited to see Mudhoney since I've never seen them, and they were fantastic.

The only merch I picked up was the large version of the Bash 13 poster print, plus the comp on CD.

It's good to be a Melvins fan in Minnesota, that's for sure.

Apparently a series of EP's with guests. That'll be cool.

Was able to snag one (or three) from the little convenience store in the building I work at. Some free art for the wall!
