Hard rock has always been the most lame labels on music ever. Makes you think about Krokus, Def Leppard, Ratt etc, classic hard rock from the eighties.

I think being a Melvins fan doesn't really help going into this album.
And by that I don't mean that the Melvins set an unreachable bar, because I did try and keep an open mind and listen to this as a new band. But what does happen to Melvins fans is that you get wind of Buzz talking about the project. Saying how great it is, how easy the sessions were and how quickly everything came together. Those would be interesting points if this music weren't so aggressively mediocre. And to truly engage with them as a new band, it's sounds too much like recent Melvins. Hell, it's even partly recorded by Toshi. It's my own fault that I read and watch interviews but for people that constantly talk about how ahead of the curve and weird they are, this is awfully derivative and not at all challenging. Teri seems to be perfectly content sounding like a second rate PJ Harvey and Omar's nondescript bass lines might as well have been overdubbed by Dale. Not that it matters, but even the name stinks.
Now some of you might scoff and call me a hater which is fine. But this is a forum, it's not like I'm waiting outside the venue after a show to tell them what I think about their work. Some of my lifelong heroes have dropped stinkers and I still love them all the same.

Sounds like they will come with the posters.

This was just posted on the C.O.D The Facebook page.
Hey friends, Lets just get right to the point.
We know you're anxious to see the movie and we are really anxious to show it to you. But please keep this in mind that we are two guys with day jobs who made a film about The Melvins. A big studio didn't make it and we don't have a team of people on hand doing publicity and lining up a worldwide screening in every town and city across the globe. We know you want to have the movie shown in your town and we are slowly trying to get as many screenings out there as possible.
We are extremely proud of this movie and we want it to be seen in a real cinematic environment, because ultimately that is the best way a film should be experienced. We want to have Q+A's afterwards and meet the fans where possible. It's been very fulfiling for us to show the movie and see the reaction to it first hand at the handful of screenings we have done so far. It's as exciting for us as it is for you. We are in correspondence with people everyday about showing the film in theaters and at film festivals, and we will hopefully be able to announce a bunch more screenings starting in October.
We know the people who contributed to the kickstarter want their dvd's and we promise we are working on it. There is so much extra footage that we want to include on the discs but please realize that this is going to take a little more time than planned. But we will work out a way in early 2017 where the contributors can get an online version of the film to watch.
If you look around at other films that are made, they do not just get put out as soon as the final cut is mixed. If we send it out to everyone right away then it will lose it's value due to online pirating and sharing. This is our prized project that we worked for years to achieve and we don't want to just watch it fall from under our control. We are certainly not cheating anyone out of anything, and everyone will get what they are entitled to, but please be patient and respect what we have achieved upto now.
Thanks so much for your understanding
Bob + Ryan
So does this mean no DVD release this year?
No, it doesn't. We are shooting for April.

some big fat dude gobbled up 3 Houdini Mackie RELIGIOUS Vinyls.
Prick.
Nice, The believe they still had those available... I think they first started showing up at shows in summer during the prick release time frame.
Thankfully I was able to get both stoner which and Houdini recycle covers, for 100$ each at the shows. my wallet will be thanking me for not having to buy them from you on eBay! I wonder how much those things are going to go for?

Setlist as above but with a bit of Leeech at the end of WYHNYH.
Merch price list I saw:
Stag limited colored vinyl $125.00
Crystal Fairy 7" $40.00
High Desert Overdose 10" $50.00
Prick limited CD $35.00
Colossus limited CD $35.00
There were art prints of the limited covers as well, but I did not see the prices for them.
They started with 3 limited Houdini vinyls' left but someone ahead of me bought all three.
Mixed feelings about the merch prices: Glad they are charging Ebay rates so the band gets the cash, not so happy that I had to pay Ebay rates though...
What limited houdini albums did you see, the mackie versions?
By the way, that venue was horrible. I didn't see the surprise 10$ parking coming...and no options to park for free. But the worst was the swarms of aggresive security guards, I felt like i was at a prison.

I'm out of town until Christmas Day and while I'm sure I could get someone to watch out for it I don't want to take the chance of it sitting on my doorstep for more than a day.
I think I read something when I was ordering it that basically said don't expect it in time for Christmas.
what's your address?
A1A Beachfront Avenue
