Got the Senile Animal in last night. Havent listened yet but the liner notes are solid. Buzz gushes hard on this record and speaks very highly of Jared and Coady

Sold out on Bandcamp lightning quick so I ordered off this site, thanks for the heads up!

The crazy thing is as repetitive as the Melvins setlist has been in recent years I can think of far more repetitious cases. Weedeater, Om, Triptykon, Negative Approach all come to mind. Great performers but consistent.

Two songs on Basses Loaded have been performed live prior to it's release. Portions of "Planet Destructo" was played on one of the band's 1996 tours. "Captain Comedown" was played on the band's 2015 tour. Given it was on the Le Butcherettes split prior.

Glad Negative Approach made the cut. A few newer hardcore bands I'd be down to check out in that list, especially Soul Glo and Gulch. If I were put on the spot with that list I for sure would have named Grief, Unearthly Trance, Noothgrush or Eyehategod.

Also as someone who's dated a woman with green hair I'd say Kat's hair is absolutely on point.  Just enough there to be different and look good but not so green it's toxic and an obvious sign that "yeah, this girl is super sketchy and possibly abusive".

I know a guy who used to drum for Nashville Pussy, possibly around the time of this interview. Probably explains why he hates The Melvins

Columbus on a Monday is my best bet. I wouldn't mind it just to visit Magnolia Thunderpussy again.

Three Fall tours in a five year span and I can't even see them in my hometown because of work. Might be able to pull some strings for the Indianapolis date but for sure I can catch the Columbus date.

I'm sure that'd be a great read if not for that pesky paywall. So Dale moved out of LA too and in the same area where the Yawning Man dudes live, no less?

Actually now that I think about it some dude did stage dive during Hung Bunny when I saw them do the evening with set in 2013. No one caught him and he smacked the ground hard.

Dude was also was whacked out on all kinds of drugs and got kicked out before the second set. He legit forgot how to open a door so he tried to climb over it.

What happened?

I think it was a stage diver that bumped into Buzzo if I remember right. Then Buzz said something to the effect of "Take your violence to the streets!"

Hung Bunny isn't exactly 'stage diving' music.  :-k

This guy would do it.
