i dont really play along to the melvins but you know there are those riffs you play whenever you pick up a new guitar or whatever?

although i would like to cover anaconda.
i've only played anaconda on the kit alone, if i were to play it with anyone, i'd get way too into it at the end/2nd half.

On the whole, GPT as an album is the greatest guitar wankfest (the good kinda wankfest) I have ever heard.

All the more impressive is that its their debut.

spoken beautifully

I think Mark D's interview personality was usually horrible. His answers were almost always sarcastic, and the way he and Buzz tried to one-up each other reminded me of two dogs who can't share the yard. It looked to me like Buzz didn't really like him a lot of the time. I think I'd rather hang out with Dale. He seems like a genuinely nice guy.
yeah, dale is a very nice fellow, i'd love to have some beers with him too. buzz is nice, but he doesn't seem to open up about the past or be nostalgic like dale would be, i'm sure dale has opened up and told them to people he doesn't know...next time they come around i'll probably be 21, i'm going to try to get there early buy them some alc and try to have some convo's in the bar where they usually hang, they'd have to talk to me if i did that.  i can't believe no one else has had a convo with them more than 5 minutes, someone kiss and tell.
people need to go in with a game plan more often.

Dale is a brilliant comic, I like when he pretended the mic was an electric razor.

I also like when he's talking about eating hamburgers in Hamburg, what a card!

no shit man.   dale and buzz CARRY this thing.  that girl who is supposedly conducting the interview seems totally useless.
not to mention clueless.
true, it's obvious dale is the comic of the duo though, i don't find buzz's very dry humor to be that funny (his humor is best in song.)
they desperately needed jared in that dept; now that's a funny motherfuckah

I do not hear anything in Suicide In Progress that resembles the Bloated Pope at all. :?

listen to the second half of the song.  the part where Buzz sings "theres a little animal way up in the air".

does this not sound a little bit like the end of Bloated Pope where dale sings in a screwed up little voice?

Well, a little bit...it is slowed down quite a bit though.
They're just ripping off Black Sabbath who ripped off all the black folk singers playing at the time.

Thats right! Everybody rips off black people. Don't you forget it! I got my eyes on whitey! I want my 40 acres and a mule!

HAT rules. they will never approach it's brilliance again.  Not to downgrade the new 4-pc at all.
HAT is the dessert of the melvins meal
