My father raped me when I was a child. Well actually he raped me until I was 17. The only reason he stopped raping me is because he died of AIDS, which he actually got from me, which I got from my uncle, who was also raping me. I never told my dad about my uncle. He would have been jealous. Sometimes I think I'm clever and change what people say when I quote them. I can't be held responsible for my actions, after all the raping and AIDS and what have you.

Andy Coronado played bass both nights or the Jelvins.

Go ahead and call me an asshole now, but I've known him since the early 90s.  One of his bands played in my basement in Philly a couple times. I forget which. His resume includes The Monorchid, Skull Kontrol, The Wrangler Brutes and some other bands.

A couple years ago Frank was putting  together a poster art of the Melvins book. Might have been 2001 or 2002. I don't know what happened to it, though it may morphed into Neither Here Nor There.

I feel it should be made known that Ron Liberti probably didn't use Photoshop. It's not his modus operandi. He is an old school collage artist and he works with scissors, tape and a photocopier. See on there where it looks like tape marks...thats not some cheesy effect to simulate tape...that's tape.

So including that in 'the bad trend of photoshop posters' is pretty funny.

There's also a Costa Mesa show the day before that. I forget the name of the club, but it's at the same place they played last time.

Damn it you beat me too it!  That poster is fuckin great.  Richie  isn't impressed though.

Geoff and I are actually really good friends and a part of that friendship is ripping on each other endlessly.

I guess the only real solace I can take is knowing that you would never ever ever say anything like that to my face in real life. Never. See...I've got this policy to never say anything ANYWHERE that I wouldn't say if the person was standing right in front of me. I recommend doing the same.

I'm not a design student either, just an industry professional with
10 years of studio and agency experience under my belt, but what
do I know... as I said, just a minor quibble.

Firstly...that's not process. Thats fluorescent yellow, fluorescent blue, fluorescent red and black. It's like process...but its not.

Secondly...you don't think I'm aware of basic color mixing? Yes...yellow and blue do make green and Doink had green hair, but I opted for flame orange to balance the color composition, and also putting a tint of flo blue over the yellow would have made a slightly muted green and not the eye destroying green I would have wanted. If I wanted green, to keep myself happy, I would have needed a 5th color.

Fucking design students...its a goddamned rock poster. It's like the simplest thing ever to understand. I make it...when it makes me laugh, I know I did it right and I'm done and I go on to the next one.

Only the Boston show has been cancelled. I don't know whey. The band is fine. Everything is as it was and in the next week or so the tour in its entirety will be revealed as all bookings are confirmed.
