This was my first show as well. And that douche who jumped on the stage (twice as has been noted) was...well...a douche. I don't know if the Melvins do encores much, but if they do, then that guy killed any chances of one. Ah, well. That's what we get for having an open bar all night

Melvins aren't an encore kind of band.  What you see is what you get.  Every shw I've been to on this tour had an open bar.

i was also at this show, and i talked to the_consumer for a while beforehand...   i was on the dvd trade list before any of you!   

it was a great fucking show though, better and louder than boston..  i like the fact that BB fucked up a song, and then cody's kit got messed up.. it always makes me happy to know that real bands fuck up too. 
the stage diver dude was a douche; i was looking for him during boris to give him a nice shove for being an asshole, but i couldn't pick him out..  at least he got buzz to talk, though. 

and dies irea could be the heaviest thing i've ever heard live.  i'll be in new haven, CT tonight, seeing it again.

interesting reviews guys.  from the photos the stage looked pretty low, as if it were maybe a foot off the ground - no wonderer some dude got kicked in the head.  my stage jump, slam dancing days are long behind me pretty much ending in the years of appliances SFB, black flag, super chunk, whatever....  now-a-days at 40 I pretty much have to brave the bad weather to maintain a close spot to the stage, where I most enjoy watching  good show.  It's not that bad really, but can be - believe me sometimes I actually can feel my age and that's no good.  I have very good tolerance, the alternative can rage, which goes against why I dragged my ass out to see a show to begin with.  Good for Dale being proactive to the bullshit, I'm sure they have to see a lot of it - and the crowds got to be getting younger year to year.  I think I'd laugh to see Moss in action, I did however see those rodeo clowns on a tour ago drag someone off stage... those guys mean business.
