Melvins and Cameron Jamie Brighton

The Melvins were amazing but I didn't think much to the movies. In fact, the movies were crap. I loved all the cool sound effects and all the fuckin about that the Melvins did, it was awesome, but seriously, Cameron Jamie can't go far. He sucks ass man, totally.

I was one of the lucky few to see the Brighton show and thought it was a great show!!!!
It was the loudest and heaviest Melvins show that I have ever heard! The mighty Melvins played behind the giant film screen during the whole set and in the beginning, you could only see their shadows playing on the screen which was really cool. When the first film came on, the background lights dimmed into darkness and the films began. Kranky Klaus was a fucking weird Christmas horror flick, Spook House was like being on an acid trip (my favorite film) and BB was real good about these insane kids in America kicking the shit out of each other in the yard.

I didn't think the films were crap. I totally got into the films and it worked really well with the music. I think if the films were as shit as described, the band would'nt have bothered.

Is this in a small club or a arena?

Do you ever see the Melvins at all? Or rea they are behind some shroud?

If it's live,.... you should be able to record it right? Or does the movie have sound, like people talking, ambient noise etc.???

Come clean with more details of this. Please?

It was in a small (est 350 capacity) building used by the University in the town, not a club as such.

The Melvins didn't show their faces at at all, but Kevin and Dale made full use of their silhouettes against the screen before and after the actual films (Dale's hand puppetry and Kevin's repeated anus exposure - directed at Dale).

Every film had audio parts that would come through once in a while, and on the whole they coincided with Buzz and Dale quieting down (I suspect they had a video monitor of their own to help them gauge where they were - they played non-stop for around 80 mins). Only the first film (Kranky Klaus) had a subtitled scene. It was also the funniest thing I'd seen in ages. I've never sniggered and shaken my head simultaneously so much before. The music just took it somewhere else. Or rather the visuals took the music somewhere else. Or something.

I managed to rope quite a large group of people into going and most were blown away by the music - only one mate went to the toilet never to return ("It was so peaceful in there I stayed", he exclaimed the following day). I've been high all week because of that show. Amazing.

BTW, Michael Jackson's 'Don't Stop 'till you get enough' was blasted out as soon as they finished playing.

I loved the whole thing.
