that artwork is sick...i might have to splurge my Christmas bonus on this.  but by the looks of these auctions i doubt i'll get one.  i don't have that kind of money to burn.  plus i need some drum equipment.

maybe this will be like the A Senile Animal box-set and more will "magically" show up.
Unlikely.  That's a stunt Hyrdahead would pull..not Amrep.

Ok then, I deleted my post. But I've never been a Haze sycophant and probably never will be.
Obviously his heart is in the right place, and he has given the Melvins a home in their fallow periods,
but he just doesn't bring it graphically, in my opinion. Different tastes I guess.

I mean, if you're going to hand stamp a cover, at least sketch out the bands name in pencil before you
start carving the lino, so you don't have to drop a character when you realize you've run out of space
halfway thru.

Having said that, if his efforts result in a proper vinyl release of The Bride, then I will be among the first
to buy one. I know it's odd for a moderator at this site to express opinions contrary to the status quo,
but that's the beauty of what we have here. no one sucks up, and we all speak freely without fear of
retribution.

  Now people are going to wonder what you said about Haze..  It really wasn't bad.

I choose not to believe the spelling was an accident.  Was a reason ever given for it?  I'm not sure why they would unfriend you, strange.. some people aren't going to like the art, they've got to know that.

if it was intentional then why not spell it the same on the back? and also why not take into account
that things are reversed on a lino-cut and carve the swastika reverse so it faces the right way on the
impression? just seems slap-dash.

it's a shame they would allow stuff like this to happen.  it really makes me think less of you guys (amrep, oxop, melvins, etc.)  at least allowing a buy it now for a certain price...or a raffle....but really....let these guys drive the bid up to almost 1000 bucks so far?  absurd, but i am entitled to my opinion and opinions are like assholes....everyone has them.  goodluck. DIY....(chuckles.)

If this "stuff"  didn't happen the general vinyl release wouldn't happen.  How the fuck do you think the mastering, pressing, and art is getting paid for?  No one has a "right" to any of these and the buyer drives the market.

Yep, that's what I was gonna say.

Sure you were Einstein.

Not to mention nothing would stop the buyers from buying a test pressing at a "buy now" price only to resell it for double value, if not more.

I bet that's what Mr JZS was going to say too.
