totally love this video, especially what he says at the end, he's aware his style is not super technical but he doesn't need that. his approach to guitar playing is simply genius. i think it's very hard to play that stuff the same way he plays it, even though some riffs are more simple than what you'd expect. i totally see the Captain Beefheart/ZZTop connection with his style of playing. i don't see any guitar player in metal being so unique and original. it's all about attitude and what is better for the stuff you want to compose, not technical skills

I can see this will be one i shall be watching a good few times. I'd love to see eve more Melvins songs explained and demonstrated like this. It's so incredibly interesting! I don't mean this in a disparaging manner, but i also can't help but wonder if/how much someone gets paid from Gibson to do these.
