Talkin about Melvin's Artwork....

Yeah!  Hello.  So I was trippin on Buzz's alleged "piece" on the other "art" post, and decided to share....
Yeah! Well, let me tell you - the Art from Hostile Ambient takeover hangs over the "Mantel" in my humble abode.  Those masks.  uh-huh, yeah those were so cool.  At first i figured Buzz did them, then I asked that question here and someone convinced me thet Mackie was the artist responsible for the masks.  I'd like to know for sure.?
And!  the Artwork off of Colossus of Destiny sits on my bookshelf streo boombox right below the H.A.T. Masks.  
It's a Gorgeous rubber Ducky and a Bland television with a barcode imprinted and on the back all the frames are Beautiful renderings of artichokes.  
Powerful Stuff Here Folks- somehow i have got it in my mind that mackie did the art for C.O.D. also.  anybody know?  tks....

I suppose she 'did' the artwork for both; but all she really did
was order images from this 'stock' art company and copy their
layouts. No real talent to do that!

If you read the thread titled "great interview, 1998" Buzz says COD is his fave artwork, and Dale says HAT is his fave artwork." If you haven't read it, you should check it out. I like the GPT re-release artwork.

You tell him Alnis!  yeah - no real Talent.  Gawd - People have been saying that about Buzz for years.  Now i know the poster was referring to Mackie, but i think it's hilarious, art is in the eye of the beholder for sure.
i remember one time i was raving on about the melvins and king Buzzo on the pearl jam website and somebody came on and gave the "lowdown" on King Buzzo.  yeah!  so this guy says Buzzo is King of the Fucking "D" chord cuz that's all he ever plays, and he's a no talent hack that's been ripping audiences off for years.  
That's what this guy was telling me.  i didn't even respond to defend Buzzo, cuz he don't need me to defend him.  his "Work" speaks for itself.
Some people "get" it and Love it, Hey wtf some people don't.  Let em go.  that's what i say.

I'm not saying she's not talented, in fact I like her work on other
covers like Stag and Stoner Witch etc.

BUT let's give credit where credit's due! Her work on COD
and HAT is overrated, she copied the layouts of CSA Images
on those particular covers and she used their 'stock' art images,
that doesn't take alot of talent. It just means she has a good
eye for choosing suppliers of art and illustration, in those 2
particular instances.
