(Now, keep in mind that Les Melvins have not graced us with their presence in Madtown for 11 fucking years!!)

Wow - if I could describe this show in one word, it would be Colossal!  I'll refrain from repeating what's been said for other shows.  The setlist seemed to duplicate what has been posted from other venues.  The band is really, really 'on' this time around (but thay always seem to be, right?).  This venue has very modern sound equipment and the whole show sounded fantastic after they got Buzz's guitar up loud enough (he's using a different Les Paul and an Orange amp these days - how long has that been going on?).

I have to say that these new songs really stuck out for me.  The 2-part vocals with the guy from BB sounded excellent, and one song in particular stood out as an instant classic (the one about worms??).  "Oven" was a tasty surprise, and it pounded as hard as ever.  I'm already very excited about this new album after hearing some of the songs.  I think this guy from BB is the best bass player they've ever had.  I hope to hear more from him.  And he has incredibly long fingers.

I thought GhostDigital sucked.  Great beats, but I thought the singer was an annoying idiot.  When you consider that Suicide was doing that schtick 30 years ago, it loses its luster.  I'm surprised Ipecac signed them.  I've heard better.

Beauty is a Rare Thing - Ornette Coleman

(PAUL)

I was there as well. Yes, Men of Porn played, and I talked to Dale (who was in the crowd during Ghostigital's set) and Tim about it and they said they'll be playing tonight in Milwaukee. Not sure who their bass player it, but it's not Dave Scott Stone. Man, what a great show. Right up front, got to talk to a lot of the band (just the usual "Great show!" and "Can't wait for the new cd!"). Looking forward to tonight.
Hail, not fail.
PS:  fuck him.
